hey Wonhpi, great upload, like you said amazingly beautiful rendition. Marcin made the piano sound like a full orchestra. I just listen to the performance of Yundi li, Kissin and even Horowitz but Marcin's is my favorite by far. 1000 Thank you man
Does anyone know if there is, or ever has been, a major competition where contestants can see, before applying, a list of everyone who will be serving on the jury (caveat emptor and all that)? Are there any competitions, too, where the scoring of each individual jury member is made public at the time final decisions are reached (or at any time thereafter for that matter)? (I'm thinking of the total transparency we see in Olympic competitions where the outcome is determined by a jury.)
@Jollanta222 I don't speak Polish so I apologize if I sound weird, but in an attempt to reply to your comment. That is why the musician is the master of the instrument, not the instrument itself, whether a piece of music has soul and emotion or not depends on the mastery of the musician. All instruments when played by the right person can convey a beautiful message, or emotion of the composers intent.
@MrYou2ber thank you for the comment, His pace might be slower than what most famous pianists play, but there is definitely emphasis in the musical quality and tone, which you said.
I am definitely rooting for him to win the Competition. Great talent.
This is by far the greatest interpretation of the Scherzo #2 I have heard. Also is one of the best interpretation of any piece ever written.
Perfect!

Damn this was supposed to be something to play while I studied, in the end I didn't study and all I did was watch this guy play. SO worth it.

Dla mnie Marcin jest wielkim wygranym tego wyjątkowo zmataczonego konkursu w 2010r. Brawo! Czas pokaże kto jest najlepszy.

Oh my god..... 4:38 just melts your heart away.
He understands cherishes each note and produces a melody unlike other pianists who simply flies through the passage.
I will always remember Marcin Koziak with this performance: the first time I truly understood what a Chopin Scherzo can convey.
