  • the best movie ever made in the history of movie making

  • I agree about the singing. Gerard Butler is great, don't get me wrong, but his singing was a turn off. I was the most impressed with Patrick Wilson. What a voice!

  • Last part: Phantom's watching you sleep. OKAY!!!

  • wow when i saw this in the cinema the trailer i mean the music gave me goosebumps. To me this teaser was perfect for the film didnt involve any dialogue or long scenes just small seconds of shots and that music. Well made trailer

  • Omg... I love the movie so much! Im still kinda obsessed with it! XD I love the music... aahhh ;D Everyone should really watch it!!!!!!!!!

Well... If u dont know, u can actually watch it on yt so... ;D

  • WOW!!!!!!!

but wait, is it just me or is this a bit brighter than the actual movie is?

  • One of the best teaser ever, when I first saw this teaser in theatre. I was like goosebumb, if you have the same feeling like just "Thumb Up".

  • OMG what the fuck how many cuts are there?

My fucking eyes are hurting from this.

  • @SilverKatt *of

  • I am currently watching this movie in my music class at school. I LOVE it so far and I became obsessed with the Phantom off the Opera song! :D

  • Iloveit!!

How do you make your own trailer? :)

  • well, to be honest I like Emmy singing Christine rather than Sarah Brightman. Emmy's voice is sweet...

  • FAVORITE MOVIE <3

  • peh aside from the singing ...Ive seen the play many times and i have never ! liked the singing i liked it in the move tho

  • @silvermoonlight007 I thought all the singing was amazing! You must have very very high standards if you don't think so.

  • gerard is a sexy beast....

    TEAM PHANTOM!! :3

  • thats funny besides the singing. singing is the whole like main part of the movie, i love the entire movie it's my favorite! i love the singing they are all great!

  • i din know Emmy Rossum is in this movie..

    cool..

    and..

who the heck is the phantom??

    @_@

does this come out in Malaysia??

  • The Phantom (aka Erik, if you've read the book) is played by Gerard Butler and this came out in 2004. You can watch it here, no problem.

  • Gerard Butler of 300 and P.S. I Love You.

  • Tjis had to be the worst Trailer for any movie I've ever seen in my life! Just awful. The Filmw as great though.

  • This was a great movie.

  • WOW! This has gotta be the most ADD trailer ever :P

    still, love this movie

  • I agree. And that's coming from someone who loved the movie too.

  • I love this movie! I jut wish she would have gone with the Phantom but if that happened everything would be undone.

  • This movie is my absolute favourite. Mainly coz i'm a total phanatic. I really have little bad opinions on any phantom singer. But i find that certain actors sing the songs differently, so much that 1 actor i might like singing 1 song but another is really bad at that song but sounds fantastic in another. i hope i havnt confused you with that but thats the way i feel.

the movie graveyard scene was crappy with a sword fight. i liked the teasing, sadistic phantom in the stageshow graveyard scene

  • Ahh:)

    Very good.

Much better than the real trailer.

    Well done.

  • I have to say, this teaser and the ensuing trailer sorta sucked rocks. The movie is great, and I have watched it at least half a dozen times (and I can't even begin to count the times I'm listen to the CD). But the trailers... wow. Bad editing that went way too fast, no storyline communicated at all. No wonder it didn't make lots of money at the box office. :(

  • That was actually pretty good, I liked the background music. I loved all the voices in the movie, except Carlotta of course. lol. jk. Gerard Butler=Love

  • I watched it both on movies and on reallife theatre (Teatro abril - São Paulo) i went with school and even the "yos" (u know those guys who adore hip hop) loved it. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE, IT MADE HIP HOP FANS ENJOY OPERA

  • I agree! Patrick, Emmy, and Gerard were fine and all. But nothing can beat Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. Micahel IS the Phantom, and Sarah IS Christine. There's just nothing better than those two together. They both have amazing voices and gave a great start to Phantom. I just wish that Michael was still on broadway...*sigh*

  • Patrick Wilson was fine, but Emmy and Gerard left a lot to be desired. No doubt they tried their best, but they were not Broadway-calibre singers.

  • So! i think they all had wonderful voices

  • Their voices were okay... and had this musical not been rooted in an opera setting, they could have completely gotten away with it (which is why Johnny and Helena not having fantastic voices in Sweeney Todd was fine). But voice (Christine's near-flawlessness and the Phantom's other-worldlyness) was all this show was originally about, and sadly, through no fault of their own, Emmy and Gerard just didn't make the cut for me. I don't blame them though. I blame Joel Schumacher.

  • I disagree, but of course I am in no way trying to infringe on your opinion. I loved Emmy's simplicity, it just seemed more like the voice of someone as delicate as Christine. And as for Gerald...the emotion in his voice at the end, the "Christine, I love you", chokes me every time. That is, of course, just my opinion. As for Patrick Wilson, his voice was good, but he didn't make the cut acting-wise, at least not for me.

  • Just a quick note on Patrick Wilson's performance; I've always thought the role of Raoul to be a difficult one simply because he's so one-dementional at face value. It's really up to the actor to make him interesting. I think Patrick's performance in this part can be debated, but he himself is a phenomenal actor as can be seen pretty plainly in the movie Hard Candy.

  • I definitely agree. Actually Patrick Wilson's performance in the ending sequence in the phantom's layer is what always chokes me up the most. "Don't throw your life away for my sake" aww! gets me everytime! and as for Christine and The Phantom, Emmy leaves me a little... well it's just not great, but I thought Gerard's performance was very enthralling.

  • @silvermoonlight007 I have to point out that Emmy is a trained OPERA singer.

  • its a musical!!!!

  • @bohemianmoviefreak Hense the name "Musical"

  • MASCAR-FACE!
