  • I like the lyrics but the music is too slow. I want my crust fast!

  • i love this song still after 15 years!!

  • one of my favorite Amebix songs. the band helped Crust progenitate from Icons of Filth quite a bit.

  • Probably my fave Amebix song. Pity they did the Suicidal Tendencies trait of re-recording a classic to 'improve' it and sweeping the original, better version under the rug.

  • use your head! No gods NO MASTERS!!!!

  • Check out Welkin Dusk!!! It's an awesome black metal/ crust band from Chicago.

  • @drumdestroyer15 OMFG they are good

  • ya know i like music, therefor, i dislike this

  • @homashijma This is music that is real and raw, not anything pretty or corporate manufactured. Its from the heart. You got an opion and i got right to respond if I dont agree.

  • @DogbitE6661 there are dozens of bands out there that are "raw" and i tend to like them, but atleast they can play their instruments,

  • @homashijma You do not truly appreciate music then.

  • I played this song in my art class once and this stupid kid complained "Hes only playing three chords over and over" I just smiled and laughed

  • Amebix is KILLER!

  • the redux version is so much different sounding

  • smART

  • my fav monolith album

  • Use your head

    Take control

    Use your head

    No Gods, no masters

We are straining at the leash !

We swear allegiance to noneBe not become

There is no one upon whom praise we will shower

I believe that the sinIs the first to give in

On the path towards the ultimate power

  • The greatest lyrics of all time!

  • One of my fav Amebix songs.

  • thanks for marking that shit as spam

  • I'd love to see this band - I bet they're great live. This album is no longer in print, but can be downloaded on Moshpit Tragedy - donations are voluntary. I should download it sometime - I would of course make a contribution

  • this band is great live....fuckin flawless

  • hell yeah

  • first song I ever heard from them.

  • saw them last sunday in sf

  • i saw em in frisco tooo....fuckin small world

  • The lyrics of this song are fucking Great!!

  • Well good tune!

Ghostryder000, you're clearly gay. Amebix's tunes have a much deeper meaning than your emocore bullshit. Listen to real metal/punk!

  • amebix are the best!

  • and playing with your cock is all you do it seems.

  • you're pussy!

  • Music does not need to be complex to be powerful. Having what you perceive as a high skill level does not make one a good artist. You're right in that this music is not an overtly complex arrangement. However, I argue that does not make it bad, for it is how they wished to express themselves. I can think of some people I've known who were incredible guitar players. They could play anything and knew a ton of scales, theory, etc. but couldn't write a song of their own if their life depended on it.

  • @belialonmyback Exactly. Ultimately, does professionalism or adequate musicianship make a band like Nickelback or Creed better than a band like Amebix or Venom? I rest my case.

  • @belialonmyback If one needs to analyze the music in order to enjoy it it means one doesn't feel it. That's a musical fail.

  • youre fuckin idiot.

  • "bring me the horizon" hahaha oh wow!

  • I have a tape of an Amebix gig in newcastle or gateshead from when they were gigging the monolith stuff. Always makes me laugh that they introduced this as a Diana Ross cover.

  • (Y)

  • go to listen country, bloody redneck!
