I'm vegetarian-ish 5 days a week. I eat fish during the week, but only eat poultry (I don't eat any red meat) on the Friday night and Saturday (my sabbath) or on religious holidays. I think one day I will end up kicking poultry to the curb too. Definitely going to check out that book.
@XoXoVANNAoXoX Yeah, I've been eating like this for over a year. I think I probably would have gone totally veg if it hadn't been for my hubby. He "needs" meat (and by meat, I mean poultry) every once in a while. One day I'll convince him to limit the poultry even more!
@HopefullyShrinking Oh cool!!! Yeah my hubby "needs" his meat too. Although he pretty much only eats turkey or chicken meat anymore and it's only once in awhile.
I was strict vegetarian for about 1 year. I still did egg and milk though, but no meat or fish. My cholesterol went down and I no longer needed meds for that. I drifted towards semi-vegetarian and now, well, not so much. BUT, I do intend to return to at least 80-90% vegetarian! Book sounds good. I like all the "Dummies" series (I guess cuz I'm a "dummy", lol). Thanks!
@weightlossfordudes LOL I doubt you're a dummy. I've never read any of those books....I went into vegetarianism to lose weight, but now I've lost my taste for meat you know? It just doesn't taste good anymore when I try to go back lol. I'm learning so much about the benefits and I'm glad I did it. I'm not sure if I will stick with it forever because who knows what the future holds. But right now it's perfect for me!
