  • rob halford......the best

  • great list (with the exception of Bono at no. 1), If I where you I would've had john lennon's video be a day in the life (his vocals on that track just send shivers up and down my spine they are so beautifull)

  • Canadian, you are loosing credit, you are very beatlemanic. How can you tell McCartney and Lennon!!!! They are standard singer/musicians.

Where the hell is David SYLVIAN, Derek Dick/FISH, Peter HAMMILL, Richie HAVENS, Kim BEACON, John WETTON, Greg LAKE, Thomas FEINER, Adrian BELEW, Neal MORSE...how can you tell than McCartney or Lennon are better than them!! Thanks God you mentioned Jon ANDERSON and Peter GABRIEL. Bono thougth great is not better than who I mentioned, you still have to learn...

  • Hi. I love your top ten best singers. You might like a singer named Theo Cedar Jones of Swaybone from an up and coming band in California.

  • BONO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • phill lynott ?? thinn lizzy? 1000 percent better than bono ,every irish person watching this will agree !!!

  • I was heartbroken when I heard Johnny's name come in 2nd

  • hey wat about Steven tyler ???

  • @manojkumarshow Yes, especially his early work with Aerosmith.

  • @manojkumarshow

well...there are MANY of the best singers of all times not included here...but the thing that made me switch this geezers broadcast off immediately was that he named Bono as nr. 1.......

  • I WAS SO SHOK THAT PAUL MCCARTNEY IS THERE.

  • i am sorry no one is better than Freddie Mercury in my opinion

  • @NSH200 I couldn't agree more with you. There's no better than Freddie Mercury. Cleanest voice ever. The most perfect. Heavenly.

  • I think your top ten is pretty good. As for your number one, Bono, in the 80's & 90's was wonderful, now not so much, so I really can't quarrel with him, although I would put Robin Zander at number 1. The man is amazing, even now, in his late 50's he can hold his own with most anyone. If you like McCartney singing "Golden Slumbers" check out Zander singing it. His voice just has more depth and range than McCartney ever had. Good list though.

  • u2s kite is a great great song a u2 gem only their fans know about. but if u dont think bono deserves to be up there check out miss sarajevo in milan not many rock singers could hit those notes and to do it in front of italians the home of opera and pull it off u have to be good

  • No not Bono! :( Other than that great list.

  • @dave8594 bonos one of the best singers on there ..just because u dont like him does not make him a bad singer

  • @imedi I never said he wasn't good, I just don't think he is the best. I'm allowed to have an opinion.

  • @dave8594 of coarse u are allowed an opinion just as i am allowed to diagree

  • Comment removed

  • obviously TINY TIM!!!

  • PAUL MCCARTNEY, JOHN LENNON, GEORGE HARRISON, ringo(okay)

  • I agreed until u got to the top 3~Russel Mael is amazing and should and could have been in your top 3!How about Steve Perry of Journey,Elton John the early years up until before he had surgery and even as far as 1996,and what about George Michael?Just to name a few!

  • @gahloot Those are all great singers but just not my personal favorites. Thanks! :)

  • Roger Daultrey?

  • @saintsfan298 Excellent...just not in my top ten. Probably number 11. :P

  • this video introduced me to sparks and for that i have to say....thank you!

  • @Lorcank Thanks. They have done an amazing body of work. You might not like it all as it is so varied, but I am sure you will love some of it. I happen to love all of it. :P

  • Nice picks man.

  • I can't hear any sound atm but I hope you included Paul Rodgers.

  • I agree with you on all of them except I can't listen to Cheap Trick at all. Because my father used to get totally messed up on drugs and then sing "I want you to want me" while drooling.... I am scarred for life.

  • Larry, have you purchased Steve Martin's new album Rare Bird Alert? It's a great CD and Paul McCartney sings one of the songs on it!

  • @biggydman Wow...very cool. Will have to check it out. :)

  • Don't forget Brad Delp (Boston) - one of the greatest rock voices ever IMO. Definitely Russell Mael and Peter Gabriel! My top list includes some indie musicians too.

The Magnetic Fields (Stephin Merritt) - check out the song "Strange Powers"

The Ravishing Ronalds - check out "So Sad About Happy" (on myspace)

  • i like neil young, my fav song by him is after the gold rush

  • i miss Billy Joel but i'm not sure he is a real rocker.

    but a great list.... Respect

  • hmm, i like the oldies, but prefer metal now a days,

    great vid.

  • paul mccartney..... NUMBER 1 my friend...!

  • Paul Stanley needs on there!!!!!!!

  • my list is a lot in the not that great singer list, not in any particuliar order, Dylan, first 15 years Neil Young, Gary Brooker - Procol Harum, Richard Manuel - The Band, Lowell George - Little Feat, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, 60's 70's Lou Reed, Ian Anderson - Jethro Tull, Kurt Cobain. Generally speaking singers that get across feel and ideas.

  • great list, this is better than VH1.

Freddie mercury wins for tash alone, proper tash folks.

  • Love the list. But not fucking Bono! Not a fan of U2 at all!

  • fail....i was with you until you said Bono as number 1....then you lost me....he should have maybe been included in your top ten but certainly for me somewhere near the bottom. i agree with some your choices for the most part though.

  • @canadianstudmuffin

If you thought it was as freaky as hell forward, just listen to it backwards, most of it in relation to Paul's death in 1966.

the scariest part backwards has to be 'if you become naked.' Honestly scared me stupid. I also love the white album, But my fave record has to Magical Mystery Tour :)

  • WHOA! You like Bob Dylan? I have SO much more respect for you now. :DDDD

  • @ChibiTristan Yes, I love his music. Much respect. Best songwriter ever. I also love Paul Simon's work.

  • Yes I love Bon Scott AC/DC rock on forever.

  • @canadianstudmuffin

Take this brother, may it serve you well.

..I've listened to that song too much :P

  • @JMJMad1 I was 10 when I first heard that and back in 1968 it was scary as hell...but I always loved that track...plus The White Album is my all time favorite record. :)

  • I hate it when people hate on your videos. Those douches don't know what happiness and fun is.

  • @chckycrk I guess I am too boring for some people. Maybe I should have danced in this video. :P

  • @canadianstudmuffin My only 'complaint' is that I don't see any links as mentioned in the video... Other than that, great video, I'll start watching your channel. Very soothing speaking voice, pronounciation and accent.

  • @iamaheron I accidentally deleted them...but most people should know how to do a search on YouTube for the different artists. Thanks. :)

  • pls show some pictures or videos of them. sorry just an advice. it is boring if u just talk

  • @RDPublic Sorry but I am in the YouTube partnership program and I can't include copyrighted images or music. You are not forced to watch my boring vlogs by the way. Thanks.

  • James Hetfield

    Dave Mustaine

    Robert Plant

    Brian Johnson

    Axl Rose

    Freddie Mercury

    John Lennon

    Dio

    Ozzy

  • Good choices, but Kate Bush should be in there :)

  • @mehquig She sounds too much like Russell Mael. :P

  • Oh damn that advertisement was blonde blue and russian

  • @canadianstudmuffin: If I had done such a list my No. 1 would be Lennon then Mc Cartney and then Richard Z. Kruspe...... (not of the Beatles!!!) But perhaps you have heard of the german band Rammstein from East Germany! Very successful in America and Rammstein and the Beatles are my favourite bands. It's a wild mix but it's like that........ If you don't like Rammstein it's okay too. Only hard fans like me also know that Richard Z. K. also has done and published songs under the name Emigrate.

  • Wow Larry, that is definitely a great list. Mine would be, no particular order-1)Paul McCartney, 2)John Lennon, 3)Paul Rodgers(Free, Bad Company), 4) Jon Anderson(Yes), 5)Rob Halford(Judas Priest), 6)Dio 7)Steven Tyler, 8) Joey Ramone, 9) Doug Pinnick (King's X) ,10) Bon Scott

  • @tal4jesus I agree about Paul Rodgers and Steven Tyler especially. Thanks!

  • Nice top ten. That's close to my top ten, but I like Chris Cornell as number 3. If you haven't heard of him, I'm shocked because he was the vocalist for Soundgarden. But you should look up the theme song for James Bond Casino Royale. If you want of course. , Bye

  • @PsalmsCh43 Of course I have heard of Chris Cornell...I love "Jesus Christ Pose" especially. I guess I just like more "unique" singers... :)

  • @canadianstudmuffin Agreed, No arguments there.

  • Nice top ten. That's close to my top ten, but I like Chris Cornell as number 3. If you haven't heard of him, I'm shocked because he was the vocalist for Soundgarden. But here is a video of his song for James Bond Casino Royale. You Know My Name:

  • A Great List Larrry Hope your having a Great Holiday !!!

  • @TUCKERZONE Thanks very much!

  • great video i love your rock vlogs more please!

  • thumbs up , great vlog((smiles))

  • 1 and 2 Puffy AmiYumi, 3 Steven Tyler, 4 John Lennon, 5 Paul McCartney, 6 AC/DC's Angus Young, 7 Queen's Freddie Mercury, 8 Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant non-solo career, 9 The Who's Roger Daltrey, 10 Tom Petty and the heartbreakers's Thomas Earl "Tom" Petty.

  • @TheNews1990 Very good list, especially love Roger Daltery's vocals. :)

  • Jim Morrison?

  • @someone6878 Yes I like his vocals and one of my all time favorite records is the Doors "The Soft Parade". He just didn't make my top ten list.

  • haha i went to high school with a guy named Jon Anderson. and the basterd stole my girlfriend so i broke his nose and a little bit of his jaw....and i may have fractured his skull but that may have been when he fell head first into a tree....

  • @JonniAnhydrous Okay...

  • @JonniAnhydrous ...and that is why he never listens to Jon Anderson... :D

  • I consider neil young a bad 'singer' but he has great vocals. If you catch my drift :P

  • @MrBenjamingeFTW For sure! :)

  • your videos are hilarious! Thanks for subscribing :)

  • Good choice! But, what about stephen tyler ?

  • @thearmyproductions He is right up there. I just don't care for the way Aerosmith went so commercial. I loved earlier Aerosmith though, especially "Draw The Line", one of my favorite rock songs ever.

  • Your video is a great education for me in rock singers. Didn't even know of that Freddy Mercury song.I agree with a lot of your choice BTW. Thanks for the links. I can't think of anyone you've left out. I would possibly question the inclusion of Macca, but then I think of Yesterday and find myself agreeing - he a great.

  • @dhatje Well...for Paul to sing "Blackbird" and "Helter Skelter" on the same album, that is quite the range right there. :)

  • haha I knew Bono would be your Number 1. ;) He'd be in my Top 10 as well along with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel and Bon Scott. My Top 10 would also include Phil Collins, Roger Hodgson, Alan Parsons, Mick Jagger, and Roger Waters/David Gilmour tied for # 1 from Pink Floyd. :) Pink Floyd has always been my favorite Rock Band of all time!

  • @trickyricky77 Never heard of Floyd Pink. :D

  • Chris Cornell is nothing to sneeze at, either. Also, do you know Maynard James Keenan?

  • @BlackChipmunkParade Chris is a great singer, but I have never heard of Maynard James Keenan.

  • Larry you have gray hair! ... on your soon to be beard XD

  • @deidara003 (runs off crying...) :D

  • @canadianstudmuffin :O ... no wait! I never meant to hurt you! ... XD

  • greg allman!!!

  • I would put Paul Mcartney ahead of John Lennon but thats my opinion:)

  • @shadowblackcat1288 I can't really argue with that at all...

  • Good taste in music, Larry. :)

  • @atomarane Thank you. :)

  • what no tori?

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge I am not a fan of Tori Spelling's singing. :P

  • @canadianstudmuffin eeh hem, tori amos

    :)

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge Ha ha...I know. Actually, I prefer Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Joni Mitchell and Jane Siberry. :)

  • @canadianstudmuffin tori does a wonderful cover of 'a case of you'

btw i am a fan of all of those ladies :)

    xoexo

  • My No.1 has got to be Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro. One of my favourite bands :)

  • Hey Larry, That U2 video you linked to is "BRILLIANT"

  • @ESPSROCK Thanks very much. I hope others check it out.

  • Good Pics. I think I would have put Ann Wilson of Heart in their for sure.

  • Really nice choises =) can't argue... and well... my personal list would include ... 10. Lemmy Kilmister (he is not Pavarotti for sure, but who cares? =D 9. Ronnie Van Zant 8. Gary Brooker 7. Elvis Presley (ho-ho, no comments) 6. Tom Petty 5. John Fogerty 4. Robert Plant (Only firsts four Zeppelin albums) 3. Bruce Springsteen 2. Tom Waits 1. Jim Morrison
  • @rastupus Thanks and great choices...especially John Fogerty (very underrated) and Lemmy. :)

  • my favourite singer is Tom DeLonge from blink 182. he sounds better live than on his albums, but a lot of people would disagree with that and say he sounds like a dying horse on stage, but i love it lol. have a happy easter btw, Larry :)

  • @themetalkid1996 I always liked that band. Thanks...and same to you. :)

  • Can't argue it. They are great picks. On any one day I could have the same list. I might be willing to argue about best singers tomorrow, but not today. Great Picks again.

  • u forgot Kurt Cobain

  • @19PEK96 No, I did not forget. This is my list of best guitarists. Everyone has their own opinion. Thanks.

  • Speachless, great picks Larry. Great picks, you sure know your music.

  • @hardbannockmusic Thank you and Happy Easter!!! :)

  • hi

  • @DJK0722 Hello :P

  • You named many of my favorite singers: Dylan, Lou Reed, Randy Newman. The lyrics make them great.

  • @mft1234 For sure. Thanks!

  • Nice list!

My top 10 in no particular order would be: Jim Morrison (The Doors), Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Liam Gallagher (Oasis), Bon Scott (AC/DC), Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses), Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) and Thom Yorke (Radiohead).

And Justin Bieber as my top female singer ;P

  • happy easter to you and deb.bonjovi'

  • @tigertb65 Thanks very much. Same to you! :)

  • Can you do top 10 guitarist video??

  • @ZeppelinFloydRoses Yes, I plan on doing that...possibly next. Sadly Phil McCracken likely won't make the list. :D

  • Jimi Hendrix!

  • James Hetfield should be in there ;)

  • @TigerLilly105 Yes...although for me it took me a few years to realize just how great Paul's vocals are on it (although I always loved the song...)

  • Very good choices larry, i would post a video response but my camera is out, is ill just type them here. 10. paul stanley of KISS 9, Ronnie Van Zant of lynyrd skynyrd 8. James hetfield of Metallica 7. Ian Astbury of The Cult 6. Sephen Pearcy of RATT 5, Joe Elliot of Def Leppard 4. Steve Walsh of Kansas 3. David Lee Roth of Van Halen 2.Bob Catley of Magnum 1.Ronnie James Dio
  • @guitarguy1387 Thanks very much. :)

  • @canadianstudmuffin Wooo BIG SMILE! :P

  • Great list Larry! I may make a video response with my fav singers, although I think we may have several in common. I like a few of there songs, but for whatever reason, I've never been able to get N2 U2 lol

  • The way you said number nine casually reminded me of revolution 9.

    lol i love that song.

  • @JMJMad1 Number 9 Number 9 Number 9. :P

  • So i should get U2 tickets next week ?

  • @highdivegandi Damn right. Have seen them in concert twice...and they are fantastic live.

  • @journeysoflifevlogs ...so you want to argue with me? :P :P :P

  • ur from canada, but no geddy lee?? shame...

  • @Jabarichonicles Far from my favorite singer but the band Rush is great. One Canadian singer I should have on my list is Burton Cummings from the Guess Who.
