  • Sigh...This happened to me and now I have to restart...

  • Got on YouTube with no expectations of finding what it is that went wrong and I stumble across this.... I am so sad but relieved to see this. The ending is the best part and it was taken from me and for an achievement that I already had. I feel I must move onto AC2 but it's just hard when I eel so incomplete about this, so lost. Thank you for uploading this, parts were humorous as I have said things EXACTLY as you had. "The scenery guards" I noticed them as well as the invisible wall.

  • I soon decided that maybe if I restart my Xbox I can try once again....I was wrong. Got stuck here, tried going through for nearly two hours and even tried replaying some older missions to hopefully just build back up to it without having to start a new game and when I replayed the killing of my final two targets I saw my failure.

  • Man, I decided that since Revelations is coming out soon that I would replay all of the Assassin's Creed games over again, in dedication to how great a story line and series it is. I was going for the Achievement for assassinating all targets with a full DNA bar, I kited Robert de Sable for near ten minutes, two bars away from a full DNA bar, I decided to strike him once simply to weaken him and what happens? I one-shotted him and went into the memory.

  • @PooderRodney Sorry you got stuck. Add your name to the list...

The Disciple of the Creed achievement isn't what you think it is. Full DNA bar does *not* mean full health. They just want you to do all investigations, view points, and citizens before assassinating the main target. Besides, the achievement is glitched. You'll either get it in MB6 or you won't, regardless of how you play.

I sent this video to Ubi support. They said it was "humorous" also. Still no patch. Sigh.

  • omg this happened to me and i had to restart my whole game. i was so pissed

  • @Standaman96 Sorry, dude. I opened a case with Ubisoft last year and sent them this video. They acknowledged the error but never patched it.

  • this is the most annoying time for there to be a glitch. I'll just start playing AC2 then :(

  • you make it sound like everyone was killed when you where gone by zombies or somthing.

  • I found this vid cuz i was stuck. I I'm going to cry now. :'(

  • @dzzz18 Aw... damn. I wish there was a way to broadcast this video to players before they get stuck.

  • @stabguy36 lol me 2.The 1 time I turn off my console and this happens. O well I'll jus do it over again. :D

  • this game sure has a lot of bugs, and glitches and should be checked more before releasing them.

  • you also do this if you fast travel to the closest city and walk there thereby skipping the cut scene

  • I don't understand. Are you saying there's another way to get stuck in Arsuf?

  • I tried a run with the HUD turned off. It turned out to be more annoying than challenging though without the radar

  • theres another one of these glitches in AC2... i got it and its the gayest shit in the entire fucking world.

  • I heard that's one of the things they fixed in the patch today. Sorry you had to run into it.

  • that patch is out today for 360? i just logged on and didnt get a patch,,. also do you know if the people that got the glitch have to restart the entire game or will the patch fix the glitch and have us just continue the game from there?

  • No. The release schedule is December 9 for PS3, December 11 for Xbox 360.

The release notes say "Fixed: Sequence 11 Mission 05. The user cannot continue gameplay after quitting and loading the game. They are stuck in the hideout."

According to Destructoid, the patch *will* rescue players who are trapped in the hideout.

  • Thanks a lot.

  • glitch confirmed on ps3 when you shutdown after the saving icon disappears during the cutscene. on ps3, the glitch does not happen as you return to abstergo.

  • Thanks for double checking PS3. Did you compare the savegame to a valid one?

Regarding return to Abstergo, you're right. It's the same on Xbox. There are actually two "Saving Game" notifications just seconds apart. The glitch occurs if you exit in between them. I will update my docs to reflect this fact.

  • forgive me for being stupid but what's the heads up display?

  • Hey, no worries. Heads Up Display (HUD) is the collective name for the four indicators that appear in the corners of your screen while playing:

    1. Abstergo Logo and sync (health) bar

    2. Control display

    3. Weapon indicator

    4. GPS mini-map

You can turn off each independently under "Options | Display". Turn off all four for a truly immersive experience.

  • oh ok thanks.

  • Are you getting Assassins Creed 2?

  • Of course!

  • Well done stab. This will save the lives of gamers everywhere... if it had been posted TWO YEARS AGO!

Jk hopefully when this game is declared a classic and played by billions in the future people will refer to this vid and say "Thank goodness for stab and ian!"

  • I lolled at the end, it's like a a list of people who died

  • Ha ha. That's pretty much what it is. Some of those people were very disappointed that they couldn't finish the game.

  • so your stuck then too, unless you restart the game?

  • "Somebody help! stabguy's stuck in Arsuf." D: <

Nah... I have a complete set of savegames backed up to a PC (via memory unit and transfer cable). See my video "Skip Repetitive Parts of Assassin's Creed on Xbox 360" for the procedure.

Good question, Ant. It only took about 20 minutes of gameplay to produce this video.

  • here it is

  • Nice.

I just tested again (PC), just to make sure I didn't miss anything. When exiting while the king is speaking all progress is lost and you can do all fighting again. When the king finishes talking you directly get out of the animus where it saves.

    Some points about the voice:

    * It sometimes sounds a little hasty. What about talking a little slower if you've got the time?

  • * Your voice is very clear and understandable. About the opposite of mine (ask lilk *g*).

    * Get a better mic, please! You don't print super good photographs on cardboard, do you? So at least get an ... anti wind sound thing ... for your mic, please :)

  • Thanks again for helping out with the PC testing, Gran.

You're right about my mic - it's just a cheapy thing. There's not much I can do about my nerdy voice. I will never have a career in radio! ;-)

  • No problem. I'm glad to help you too!

Nerdy? Hey, it was a compliment! And yes, with this mic you won't ever have a radio carreer :P

Can't you put some sort of foam around it as kind of first aid kit? And get a good mic later (some people say the G35 isn't too bad but I cannot confirm yet because when I'm talking to others I hardly hear me myself).

  • Nice update with this Stabby... =D

Haven't played AC in while, maybe I should give it another shot... :3

  • not happend on ma version =p (ps3)

  • This glitch *can* happen on PS3 (see links to bug reports in video description). Consider yourself lucky, dude. :-)

  • well, i didnt mean it like dat wat ur thinkin...

i was just sayin, i probably needed 2 not write ps3 -.- but still thanks for ya help on da game =) helped me alot!

am a lucky dude dat found ur vids =P

  • Updated to add narration and acknowledge all those who reported this bug.

    Is it clearer now?

  • Much better. Thanks.

I never end the Animus sessions during the cutscenes though, so I never had the problem.

Still, I'm glad that you pointed it out because you saved a lot of AC players loads of misery.

  • I'm glad you like it. =)

The thing about this glitch is you don't have to exit during the cutscene. Anytime during the Animus loading screen (while returning to Abstergo) will cause the failure. Some players consider this a natural time to exit, after having spent a long time to complete MB6.

There's a related glitch where you get stuck alone in Abstergo. I think it's caused by exiting at the end of other Memory Blocks but haven't confirmed this.

  • I was mistaken. It's safe to exit during the loading screen while returning to Abstergo. There are two "Saving Game" notifications after talking to Richard. The glitch occurs if you exit in between them.
