hey guys , i have 2 yeasts i have saved from the fermantor,,they r in the fridge.... do i take ti out and let it get to room temp or wort temp befoe pitch?
A very interesting video. I have started to think about the reusing yeast when it comes to my mead making. I am primarily a mazer, but have started doing home brew during the waits in the mead process. I look forward to the next video in the sparkling chardonnay series.

@aikidojoe1 Room temp is better.

You generally try to keep most yeast to under 5 generations...of course that is no hard or fast rule.
This holds true even for wild bugs and brett.

You overpitched. Use 1/8 of the final volume of leftover yeast, and try to use a cross-section of the profile. Go maximum 8 repitchings.

how can you store the yeast if you dont use it right away?

Yeast is best kept in the fridge before use.

what happens if you use the wrong yeast with the wrong type of beer??

You still get beer - maybe good beer, but it may be a different character than the "style."
