@ctoedtman because it's acoustic, haven't you noticed that when some singer (for example Avril) is singing acoustic, crowd always is quiet? or should be quiet. it shows her real voice and you can hear her natural singing, there's not loud, hard music playing background, it's just calm performance.

Very good song. Powerful lyrics and melody. Unlike almost all the singers today, Avril has quite a collection of memorable tunes. I'm a rock/heavy metal fan, but some singers just have the talent to write song I am willing to listen over and over and not get bored. Too many singers today don't know how to play the guitar, so they write songs that don't have a strong melody. Instead, everyone writes stupid, simplistic garbage with a lot of BS noise and think it's music!

@TreatEvery1Nice it isn't an electric guitar , it's acoustic , so it doesn't have to be connected to an amp to hear it ... the sound of the guitar is amplified by the mic. that avril is singing ... so that's how the crowd could hear the guitar

Great performance from a great artist. Avril is a class act and represents her generation admirably. As far as missing her hand there, it's not nerves. It's a mistake, and it happens. It just goes to show that even very talented people aren't perfect. She's only human, so cut her some slack. And yes, this is by far the best version of this song I have found.
