I don't believe in anything that poses the answer and then forms the questions to support it. Most of us don't believe in astrology, but you don't find youtube channels, in any large degree, battling over non believers when it comes to astrology. Atheists simply choose not to believe unsupported, extraordinary claims based on little evidence, especially those beliefs that offer eternal damnation for non subscribers. We believe in posing questions first, and then forming answers based on reason.

@sk8goat316 It's treated as a religion only in reguards to the first amendment and similer laws. Like the establishment clause, they can not favour one religion over another or non religion over religion. They must stay nutral.
And the same thing is applied to other phlosophical beliefes and ways of life as well. So yes in reguards to the fiirst amendment, it is trated as such for simplicity.
But I would still ask that you show any intrinsic religious traits to athiesm.

The real sticking point came into it when I actualy started to research and read about the bible. Currently got it on my bed side amp (Yea my bass amp is my side table =D) along with a pamplet of Inteligent Design and a book called "Who Made God" which is a physics argument for the existance of god. Now that I believe in neither, I guess I have to provide evidence as to how there is no tooth fairy or mouse.

I don't believe in anything that poses the answer and then forms the questions to support it. Most of us don't believe in astrology, but you don't find youtube channels, in any large degree, battling over non believers when it comes to astrology. Atheists simply choose not to believe unsupported, extraordinary claims based on little evidence, especially those beliefs that offer eternal damnation for non subscribers. We believe in posing questions first, and then forming answers based on reason.

Maybe that is just because astrologers don't try frustrate other people's sex lives with frightening stories about angry stars. Furthermore, astrologers are not trying to get astronomy out of the school books, and because they don't have much political power. @sk8goat316 It's treated as a religion only in reguards to the first amendment and similer laws. Like the establishment clause, they can not favour one religion over another or non religion over religion. They must stay nutral.
And the same thing is applied to other phlosophical beliefes and ways of life as well. So yes in reguards to the fiirst amendment, it is trated as such for simplicity.
But I would still ask that you show any intrinsic religious traits to athiesm.

The real sticking point came into it when I actualy started to research and read about the bible. Currently got it on my bed side amp (Yea my bass amp is my side table =D) along with a pamplet of Inteligent Design and a book called "Who Made God" which is a physics argument for the existance of god. So yea I have looked into it.

The differance is that if you wanted to go to see a brain, you could go to a biology lab and find a brain. You can take readings of the brain or see open brain surgery.
So brains existing is not really in question now is it?
If I'm going to believe in a god, I'm not able to believe without evidence. How many things can you name that you believe without evidence? Not many I'd pose.

I don't exactly understand the question. There is a chance that evolution is a lie about as much as any other thing in the world. But it really doesn't have anything to do with the God debate. There are people who believe in God that accept evolution and people who don't believe in God that don't accept evolution. It's not really a factor, if that's what you are asking. He calls atheism inaccurate. That implies atheism is trying to describe something. How can you describe nothing inaccurately? That's like throwing nothing at someone too hard. Or stealing nothing from no one.

it is very disturbing how shockofgod has gotten so much attention through pure bullshit and such infantile arguments. Why would anyone want to associate them self with such a manipulative, immoral person regardless of whether he is pushing your belief of not. It is only damaging to your cause to have people of such poor character representing your side.

"atheism is madness, we've proven it" OMG! EVEN if all this were true, you would have proven NOTHING! The notion that Christianity or any religion for that matter would be true only because we don't have any other answer is simply flawed logic... Before we knew what rain and thunder were we in Scandinavia believed the god Thor did it. Now we KNOW what thunder and rain are so we don't believe in Thor anymore. It's like we need something to fill in the gaps where we lack in understanding.

I thank the (various) gods for Rich Allen (aka shockofgod) because he does more for atheism than a thousand atheists ever could. Thank you Rich for proving that religion poisons minds and makes people stupid and foolish. Religion is an non-surgical lobotomy. I'd pray for you, but lets face it, we both know it doesn't work.

It's not an "honest and sincere question" Shockofgod knows full well that his question is illogical and makes no sense. Christians have the burden of proof, not atheists. Atheism is not a position backed by any kind of proof of anything, it is an inquirey to the religious for them to prove their claims. This is why many atheists think so many christians are stupid.

This Shockof??? guy appears to be mentally ill. Or rather, he is seeking negative attention in order to fulfill his primary goal of whatever that may be... He obviously holds a status of being a victimizer. I find it highly unlikely that he was ever an atheist. As he is absolutely clueless of what the word atheist actually means.
