  • The robert mathelorp of comix

  • Mike Diana's work is not up my alley, but it is ART and not pornography. Iread in Reinventing Comics" by Scott McCloud that Mike was "told under penalty of law exactly what he could and couldn't draw." I'm a German living in Ohio (and glad for it). But it brings to mind penalties of communistic East Germany would impose on authors and painters. It was called Malverbot and Schreibverbot, meaning ban on painting and ban on writing. I'm sure they picked it up from the Nazis. Bad neighborhood!

  • Ferdinand Celine, Peter Sotos, R. Crumb, Tomasz Winnicki, metal bands prosecuted in Muslim countries for blasphemy, all of it shows that the public is more hung up than people think. They are all hypocrites and self-fakers.

Hollywood bullshit sex and violence is "edgy", the way Kathy Griffin is supposed to be "funny, huhuhhuh". Cute girl cusses on stage, and its "sellable, Murry, but if I say that women aren't funny, or that some bureaucrat is a fat ugly fisheyed-mullato dyke, witchburnins...

  • Mike was in jail for 4 days, awaiting arraignment on charges of selling, distributing and advertising pornography,,, PORNOGRAPHY not art...

  • This is exactly the sort of thing that makes me ashamed to live in the U.S.

People here think the U.S. is all fine and dandy and on top of the world, when in reality most stuck up people like that are just lame. They have no taste for art and culture, and are afraid of what they don't know. It's ridiculous! Not saying all Americans are like that, but most are, and it makes me sick.

  • Proud to own original artwork by this man.

  • "the media" coming down hard on a guy like this would be as hypocritical as palin(who holds a bachelors degree in journalism) trying to ban books.journalists must rely on first amendment protection just like anyone else, including artists. "the media" didnt crucify this guy, bad journalists did.

  • The first time I heard about MD was when he became national news in the early nineties. The media crucified him. I was in the prolly background mumbling "burn the witch", as well. A few years later I saw his stuff in "Zero Zero"(without the media bias) and I loved it. I ordered more of his stuff through Phantagrafix. I later used him as the subject of a school report on 1st amendment rights. I think his stuff is great. Sick, but great!

  • Mike Diana is a god.

  • Mike Diana, one of my best friends in the whole world, I would lay my life down for him if he needed. It is great to see the world understands that drawing is NOT a crime. Robert Rootes/ Author
