grew up with my dad marching w.during stringband. Moved away and it doesn't get televised here. Can't seem to get anyone to tape it for me. Mummers parade is much better than the rose bowl parade. Yes the flowers are pretty but its boring I am sorry not compared to the mummers . Fun and excitement abounds.
I moved from Philly in 1983, I have asked family to record the Mummers for me and they never do. This is great the only things I miss from Philly are cheesesteaks, hogies & the Mummers.
Very nice compilation. I have posted many full videos of the string bands too. Ranging from 1977 to present day. Like yourself, I am doing this for others enjoyment. Very nice work.
So very very true! My husband doesn't get it at all. I got to see the Mummers in person exactly once, the new years of '04 and I left the city for good in june. I will always remember the Mummers with love and pride as I grew up with them.
i went last week, first time in 15 years since a lil kid. love my city

I miss the Mummers Day Parade almost as much as I miss a good hoagie. The only two reasons I miss leaving South Jersey. Nice clip, thanks.
