I usually play electric guitar and i've gotten a fine way on it. Made my own solo, and still working on it, been doing so for about 1½ year now. Anyways, i think Banjo is pretty cool and i thought i'd try it out so im soon getting myself a banjo xD

i'm not sure but i would guess maybe a low E tuning [3 steps down from G tuning]. similar to what john hartman used to do and bela fleck has done often on his recordings. i've played around w/ a low E tuning and it does open up a lot of possiblities on the banjo. there are other tunings but i havn't tried them.

After being reminded how nice a slow banjo accompaniment can sound by the Avett Brothers' work, I came to Youtube to hear more of them and found this. If someone had told me a banjo could enjoyably cover Rocketman I wouldn't have believed them, until I heard your arrangement, which transcends what most people think the banjo is capable of. Thankfully this song is available from Amazon's MP3 store, so I just bought it.
