  • I have an altima and mine flicker but I have never needed yo change them. It just happened for a period during the colder season which im not positive but I think that couldve been my case.

  • Lol?

  • its a HID. they flicker when their gona burn out. mine on my cts has just started yesterday which means time for a new bulb in a week or so.

  • if that does that wile there just running then you probbaly have a problem with the bulb or ballast

  • xenon hid lights are standard on the 300c in australia. but i wouldn't bother with fitting them after-market, theres too many problems. best bet is to fork out the extra money for factory ones when you buy the car.

they are so much better than standard halogen though. our merc has xenons and its far superior to the standard projector.

  • Okay one thing I don't get is... why on the new Chryslers and Dodges do the headlights turn off when they signal? That's so distracting when I'm driving and see that! I understand maybe it's easier to see the signal light.. but it looks bad. And isn't it a law on most places that you need to have both lights on whilst driving? :)

  • @Canlander7

headlights turn off when you signal so oncoming traffic can see the signal in brighter conditions

  • @Leone4130 That's only when the daytime runners are on, in the 300C anyway. Daytime are not HID.

  • @coolhandcanada

True that. I own a c and my sister owns an RT charger. a friend of mine owns a caliber, they all turn off when signaling (daytimes only, not actual headlights). The RT my sis has doesn't have HID at all but the lights still dont turn off when actual headlights are on. my question is: do US built cars do the same? cause I thought that you dont need daytime running lights in USA..

  • A little bit of flicker on start up is normal. Xenon gas is very stable, but when you agitate it, it goes crazy, resulting in the flickering. If it doesn't go away you have a problem.

  • Add a capacitor to your hid's and you will be fine

  • @donneeo your right man i have an 06 300c i added the capasitor and it works perfect never had a problem with my HID's

  • Ooooppss! Didn't realize people had already asked the question about flickering on sartup.

  • Hell there is an upgrade for that?! Mine does it for free and I don't like it one bit. It only does it on start up though. I checked the ground and the other connections and theylook good. Is it normal for the HID kits to flicker on start up?

  • if you have HID lights make sure it's not the ballast there are really expensive. my light turn blue and stared to flicker it eventually gave out cost me $500.00 to replace it.

  • mine does that to when i start it up not a big problem but still kinda annoying. Do you have the capacitor ?

  • no I just edited the time between clicks out...

  • heyyyyyyyy
