I've had two WH10v2 pedals, and both broke within a week. They started to cut out when you pressed the pedal down, really annoying because I liked the raw sound the v2 gives, it emulates John Frusciante's sound real easily - it was the sort of sound I wanted to get out of a wah pedal. I might give this Wilson pedal a whirl though, sounds pretty cool.
Please reply! Does this pedal experience the ridiculous volume boost as the WH10V2? Im ok with the gain boost, as i know it is what makes this pedal unique, but the volume boost. how is that?
@CrazyTrain0111 i would ask Kevin about that -- I think there may be an adjustable gain trimmer inside....the Ten Spot II wah that I had did not add a lot of volume
@popomczowzow you need the Wilson Ten Spot II....it's amazing. I was using my 69 strat and the Nolatone 22 Tango amp on this demo. Sorry to hear about your experience with the Ibanez reissue. Get in touch with Wilson Effects and get a REAL GOOD WH10 sound!
Of course, the original WH10 is much warmer sounding than the Wilson Ten Spot II, but it's also a hell of a lot warmer than the WH10v2. You're really not gonna get the WH10 unless you get the WH10. I suggest you try the Wah pedals out in a store, without thinking "What would John Frusciante like...?" and instead asking yourself, "What sounds bes to me?"
Hell, you might like a crybaby. You might like some random weird wah I've never heard of.
The Reissueof the WH-10 is coming out sometime this month Check the ibanez website under product index then classic pedals it has a die cast metal case but other than that it is the same. Ibanez WH-10V2 is what they are calling it
I have his Wilson Jen tunable Wah, and man i have not heard better wahs being made these days. I am thingking of getting the 10 spot II after i get his Shocktavia. Nice Demo!
i always use the wah as the first pedal in my chain. tried it with the switch set to "bass" mode and WOW.....that's the synthy FROOSH sound.....best wah decision i have made in years. :)

I played on my Ibanez wh-10 v2 for about 30 minutes before returning it.
It's LOUD as hell. It doubles your volume when activated. Even on the cleanest setting my amp starts breaking up.
It's terrible bypass sucks ALL the treble out of your tone.
It's very difficult to switch on and off.
This sounds perfect. What pickups and fuzz where you using?

The WH10v2 is poorly constructed and doesn't really do anything exceptional. Stick to a crybaby or spring for a Wilson Ten Spot II

i agree 100% - if you want a REALLY good WH10, get the Wilson. it is built TEN TIMES better than the reissue or the original, and it sounds AMAZING!

Hey dude... iv got one too.. abolutely nails the frooshy tone running through an overdriven amp with the big muff behind it!
In your demo... do you use the pedals before or after the wah ?
Thanks

sounds killer. i wonder how it would sound with a musket fuzz... my wizard wah does ok, but I'm not 100% satisfied.
and you're right - we do have the same glasses!
