The reach is one thing. But Gsp Himself will have a hard time taking Thiago down.
If GSP reaches from a distance look for a knee to the head Thiago is extremely strong with ground and pound and has excellent guard. He is unreal shape and yields a ton of power with his strikes if Serra a significant reach disadvantage can land power shots enough to topple gsp Thiago will have all that and then some.
Serra does have a significant reach disadvantage and he was able to get in on gsp and land with force enough to whoop him now im not saying GSP hasn't improved since then but if the opportunity was there once it will be there again and Thiago is way more powerful than serra.

It doesnt, but it takes TECHINQUE to do it swiftly and less/without injury. Ask wanderlei silva when he threw his punches like he was throwing a baseball, and rampage bobed and cut him wit a left hook that connected to the chin. Prime example. Dont take skills to actually do'em but its takes training to do'em right. And by the way, the sport isnt a movie where kicks, punches, and blocks r scripted to make it look so amazing. I bet my life if someone fought u ud prolly bear hug him as a reaction.

Thiago is a beast.... and GSP is a great fighter too... they are both great fighters and warriors and they both deserve much respect.. unlike some people who all they do is talk shit.. Thiago lost but theres nothing to be ashamed of he lost to the GSP.. and he gave a great fight..unlike bj penn who got whooped.. GSP is a great fighter and did a phenomenal job i respect him and always have. I wish the result was different but Thiago battled like a true warrior for 5 rounds and deserves much respect for going the distance.
Also I thought he showed what a classy guy he was by raising gsps hand directly after the fight when he knew that he had been beat. I will continue to route for both fighters and appreciate all here keeping the dicussion on this board respectful its not brock jumping rope after all.

The reach is one thing. But Gsp Himself will have a hard time taking Thiago down.
If GSP reaches from a distance look for a knee to the head Thiago is extremely strong with ground and pound and has excellent guard. He is unreal shape and yields a ton of power with his strikes if Serra a significant reach disadvantage can land power shots enough to topple gsp Thiago will have all that and then some.

Serra does have a significant reach disadvantage and he was able to get in on gsp and land with force enough to whoop him now im not saying GSP hasn't improved since then but if the opportunity was there once it will be there again and Thiago is way more powerful than serra.
And for the record I am going to Vegas and I will bet On Alves. it won't be long now.
