MMA has actually helped me appreciate boxing more. All I hear is references to great boxers. You hear Joe Rogan talking about boxing all the time and MMA has allowed me to be able to watch boxing more objectively to see what these guys take out of it. Just like I now watch kickboxing to see what they take out of that. Those show striking in it's purest form, but MMA isn't just about striking. MMA allows you to appreciate all art forms and let's you see how they do against each other.

If your 25 and train for boxing 2 hours a day 365 days a year for 5 years that's 1825 hours. After that amount of time, if your want it enough than you got it.

Man, everybody please stop talking mess on MMA. Its a great sport. So is boxing, I wanted to be a boxer when I grew up but became a Mixed Martial Artist. I love both but MMA just seemed more intense cuz all the more added to it. Boxing is the sweet science and is used in MMA, if it wasn't for Boxing, MMA prolly wouldn't have excisted in the U.S. Boxing was the only combat sport that was being televised, and it gave spark to MMA.
