Not every destructive thing that happens can be traced to religion, so the other reasons for these behaviours would become more dominate. As you touched upon there would be other ways of grouping ourselves. So it would be different but still the same.

In order for seeds to grow they require certain necessities such as water, air,
soil and sunshine. When a seed receives water it begins to grow.
It sends out a radical which travels towards the ground and tries to draw nutrients from the soil.

Sure, 9/11 had a religious motive but there's far more to it than that. I think Immortal Technique said it best: "You act like America wouldn't destroy 2 buildings in a country that was sponsoring bombs being dropped on its children"

These fanatics seem to be lost in darkness. when they think of god they feel emotions of pure love, protection, courage, rightness, and all knowledge..they feel safe..an it is just a emotion...but they dont understand it...people in ancient times manipulated this emotion into a religion to control other people...it is sad..dont hate them for they are simply lost as we all are at times..i hope one day those who are lost in darkness see truth and light..dont u?

why worry about all the "evil" things that happen in life? its just a myth that life has any meaning at all. It is equally meaningless to be an atheist or a believer, since there is no scientific proof that life has meaning. make love or rape, save or kill a life, heal or hurt, or do anything for that matter. Life doesn't matter if atheism is true. in fact millions have died because of atheistic teachings, it seems people will make excuses to kill no matter what.

What facts are there, if you dont mind, that atheism teachings killed millions. There's a big difference between killing in the the name of an idea & killing while you happen to have an idea. Stalin was an atheist but he didnt kill in the name of atheism. Same cannot be said for religious murderers. Life is what you make of it. You put meaning into life, not some god who isnt there. REAL FACT- Multi millions have died in the name of god.

Thanks for replying. True Stalin didn't kill in the "name" of atheism, but its a pillar of communism, a system that says only government(people) can decide what is right and wrong, and Stalin through his government decide that it was right to kill millions of people. The highest authority was himself, he would decide if it was murder or not. Your right though, atheism is nothing in its self, but people continue to live their lives by making up "meaning" to do what they want, even kill.

You misunderstand me, I meant that love and rape, save or kill a life, heal or hurt, or do ANYTHING( not yelling just wanted it to stand out) for that matter, is equally meaningless in a purely materialistic universe. since there is no scientific proof in "meaning", people just make up what ever they feel is right. And that is why human secularism can be nothing more then another made up religion.

The "religion of choice" has a Book that tells them what to do with their life. As Sam Harris has said, the act of believing in a religion is not the problem (He has in fact said he would be willing to make up his own). The problem is the rules that these religions force the believers to follow, are a threat to human society. So secularism is not like religion, secularist do NOT have a rule book to follow. In actuality secularism is the exact opposite of religion.

Just because you didn't write your beliefs in a book, and instead put them on comments and videos is meaningless. My point is that your beliefs(that you made up or someone else made up) are equally irrelevant with any other beliefs because they are all made up, not real. When people make these kinds of videos trying to preach that their belief is how more meaningful then others, that is what makes them like every other religion. If the belief in material atheism is fact I mean. thank you.
