If you see a Whitney recording - if the clothes are dreadful - the voice is fantastic - the worse the clothes/hair the better the better the performance. Her style did not get better until her voice started failing. Now she dresses like a million dollars but her voice is dreadful - so I don;t know about you but I would rather watch Whitney in her bad clothes/hair days cos her voice was that of an angel

I love Whitney to death and she's tearin up this song. But she should shoot her stylist for picking that outfit for her. I'm cringing at the sight of it. How can you match two different materials like that???? I don't know. The outfit just isn't working for me. But love the vocals on the song.

islezeus that was a really really really long time ago (I think sometime in 07 if im correct)....Bobby is having (if he has not as yet) a baby with his fiance and whit has moved on darling, the only thing they have in common now is BobbiKris!!!:)

Ok i've got somethin i wanna say...Whitney Houston may be talked about as the crackhead who lost it, but you can't deny the fact that she was debatably the best singer out there in her prime. She has killer talent. I wish the best for her. The world gets worse and worse because of cold heartedness. We (as people in general) should hope for the best in people. We need to pray for and help others. Sheesh. Anyone at all agree???

Well said!!!! I remember watching this on tv when it originally aired and thought she was like an angel from God!!! So beautiful and so talented. I love that I found this performance after so many years, I never forgot it. So nice to know she has other fans out there who feel the same as me. NO ONE has EVER touched me the way Whitney nad her music and talent have and no one ever will. Thank and God Bless You Whitney!!!!

When i see this old footage i get offended at the fact that people compare Whitney to Mariah and Christina and Celine. This is evidence that even though they are all great artists, Whitney singlehandedly built the foundation that they all stand on...There was noone singing like her before she hit the stage...and most female singers emulate that style still to this day.

I get chills from this performance like many of nippy's other performances e.g. HOME, ONE MOMENT IN TIME and I AM CHANGING etc but im crying I was'nt there for neither......God nothing must be able to beat an experience like that:-(

I hope she goes on concert again. I saw her concert and it was an amazing experience. Her concerts are very spiritual. It's like a natural high. She is nothing short of Brilliant.

JEEZZ, What memories this brings back!!! I remember being a kid in the eighties and this aired on New Year's Eve ('87?). What did I do before YouTube? THANK YOU to all the fans who have these Whitney treasures for us to enjoy. And I gotta say for all the fashion haters out there. That was THE STYLE at the time and Whitney was always on point in the eighties. I thought she had NEVER looked more gorgeous than this night back then. The short skirt, beadwork and big hair were the style.

I have already seen this performance, but it was long time ago, I always used to watch it, but one day I came here on youtube and this video had been removed.
so to me it´s really an emotion to see it here again, I just can´t help myself, I´ll stay here watching this once again. She was feeling the thang, I love her passion when she sings this song, and "all at once", it alwayz makes me feel good, for sure, she inspires me.
