I LOVE international hockey tournaments. World Cup of hockey/Canada Cup were the rare moments that you got to witness the absolute best hockey players in the world playing for their country. The IIHF World championship is really a second rate tournament.The olympics were great, but it's not sure yet if the NHL players will be in Sotchi in 2012. Will the World Cup of hockey ever return again? I wish it could be held on a regular basis just like the FIFA world cup. Please bring it back again!!!

When SM-Liiga is on, everyone is cheering for their own teams you know but when international tournament starts, evreyone is one the same team and winning or losing together, its just so awesome! I really hope NHL will be in the olympics, I think olympics are the biggest thing in sports sky.

This was a tough game to watch, I live in Calgary, and the Flames just finished there awesome playoff run, so Kiprusoff had become one of my favorite players. I felt bad for him losing, but Cananda had Jarome Iginla, so I was glad to see him win.

This is such a great event! But the NHL just has no clue how to run itself. This one was 8 years after the last one, and the one before was 5 years, the one before was 4.. NO consistancy like say the world cup of soccer or rugby. Both are amazing spectacles for that reason.

This IS the World Cup of Hockey. World Cup and World Championships are two different tournaments. So far the Cup has been held 1996 and 2004. It's an international tournament organized by NHL and played by its rules. It's bigger than the Championships because NHL players can attend it.
