@MrEricSir There is a Flash version that's widely distributed, but I vastly prefer the DOS original. DOS is authentic, while Flash is kind of a pretender to the throne.
Wow, I found it and tried it; thanks for the recommendation! :D While it's in the same spirit, I think MORN is a little more interactive, as it has actual keys you can press during gameplay, even if they don't do very much.
Seriously, LateBlt, how could you not comment on the greater story arc of the inanimate racer series?
You mentioned nothing of the elaborate backstory of the teddy bear or CD. Did you even *read* the novelizations, written by the same stellar pen of the Star Control novel?
How can you call yourself a Let's Play commentator when you obviously haven't booted up Inanimate Racer Zero, the Japan-only text-and-sound gaiden?
Best Game Ever!! So much better than the QFG walkthroughs that you've been doing. You should totally go back and do the chia head extended edition race. It's the greatest.
Ah yes... you had Stunts, and then there was Inanimate Racer. I'd love to play this game again, but sadly, my copy broke and I can't seem to find another anywhere.
Stunts was a chump compared to this masterpiece. It was really hard to find, so I ended up e-mailing MrEricSir myself, and he e-mailed it to me. Then I put it on my website. If you Google "inanimate racer" and "watermelon productions" or something like that, you should be able to find it.
I didn't know this game was released as freeware. Thanks a bunch, Lateblt. Who needs modern racing games with ANIMATE objects (like flashy cars), real-life physics and damage modelling, when you got Inanimate Racer?
I'm off to relive my childhood now. Oh, and I unsubscribed to your and hercrabbiness' videos since I won't be needing alternate forms of entertainment now that I have the joy that is Inanimate Racer.
...Ok, so the last part was a joke. Like that'd ever happen!
i was going to post something like this before i realized this was your april fool's day joke: "lateblt, i usually really like your videos, but I'm sorry this one is just a huge waste of time... i'm really disappointed."
best. game. ev- oh someone beat me to it by a year...

Okay, I'm the one who actually wrote this game. Where did you even find this? It was a joke game I made when I was in high school.
For those without DosBox, I created a Flash version a long time ago, which you can find via Google.

Nice vid, Mr. Late Blight... that was over 9000.

...And the sad thing is, some people would consider this game as groundbreaking as the postmodern sculpture, "The fountain."

This game is even better than "Mario's Early Years"! or even ET!

I'm an utter failure. I may as well go back to Let's Play Pong.

Only after you read the five-part extended Pong universe novels by Mercedes Lackey.

good imitation of Speed Racer

The thing in the middle is Wilson from Cast Away.
The maker of the game apparently travelled into the future to make a reference to a movie that wasn't even made yet.

This looks kinda difficult. I'm not that good with racing games to begin with so I think I might have to pass. Looks awesome though. :/

It's pretty hard. You need lots of patience to keep waiting for the announcer to announce the tie.
