as u can see, it is a parallel mechanism, and the main bottle neck is motion control.
The video is so old; it was the first real test. after this test we worked for more than 6 month to get a better speed. At the end we could reach to the speed of 2 times more than this. All the rights of final robot are reserved for a company and I can not put those videos on the web.anyway, after 3 years we r working on another design and I hope to have an almost ideal industrial pole climbing robot very soon.
if it were going any slower, it would be going down the pole.

sharif is NOT even listed in the top 500 universities of the world...its good according to iran's standards but thats it!
its nowhere to compare with CAMBRIDGE, OXFORD, IMPERIAL COLLEGE, MIT, YALE, UNIVERSITY OF TORORNTO, HARVARD, BERKELY!!! C'MMON
