According to mainstream society they're supposed to line up, but that's not always the case. Having a womanly figure and facial features does not make a transwoman's medical condition "more valid" than one who looks more masculine. A lot of trans women who transition in their 30s-40s *have* to force it because the testosterone has already affected the voice for 20+ years and they have to get treatment for it..

@l0serpants As a helpful tip to anyone who wants to be an ally for Trans* people, telling a trans person that they "pass well" is what's known as a "non-pliment". Not a compliment. It can, in fact, be very hurtful. You're still invalidating her ID as a woman. As a queer person, I've found it very hurtful when someone tried to "compliment" me by saying I looked straight, and that's without having body dysphoria related to said "non-pliment". It's much more hurtful for most Trans* people.

I hope you see this...I've only heard of you, but have never seen you until now. I saw your little kid pics. I saw a cute little girl, not a boy. After reading and watching your story I truly believe someone can be born in to the wrong body,it seems as u became the woman u where meant to be it fit u like a glove...thanks for shearing ur story u are so beautiful inside out...I wish people from countries like Jamaica and kenya where being gay is a death sentence could see this video to understand that gays,transgenders and lesbians where born this way and this is who they are..hats off to

@:56 he really looked like a girl with a boys haircut. Listening to her talk and how she looks it doesn't seem like a forced transformation like other transgenders I"ve seen.
(I can't believe im about to type this) I feel like she suppose to be this way. She only got the genitalia of a male.

@unclestuntman She was born bio male, but that doesnt factor into who she is now. What do you mean by "forced transformation"? Just because a trans individual "doesnt look trans enough" or "enough like the gender they truly are (on the inside)" doesnt somehow make them any less trans or any less of their true gender (by true gender, I mean the gender one expresses oneself as).
I'd say, she was supposed to be born female, but her transition has made her into the strong woman she is today.

@xbellaxbrutalityx You do have to factor in what she was born as. Im not saying that I wouldn't be her friend. She seems like a really nice person. By "forced" I mean, they look like they suppose to be the gender they were born as. example: male to female transformation, but has a large adams apple.

If anything, it's incredibly insensitive - judging them based on the very features they want to disappear/the features they have (positive or negative). Thanks for elaborating though.

@unclestuntmanIf If you are saying she is "suppose to be this way" based on her looks, then you are mistaken on what being transgender actually is. I don't think you get it.
Having a womanly figure and facial features does not make a transwoman's medical condition "more valid" than one who looks more masculine. A lot of trans women who transition in their 30s-40s *have* to force it because the testosterone has already affected the voice for 20+ years and they have to get treatment for it..
