For practical:

the spheres would have smaller wheels/dials which would contact the wheels (basically a ball-mouse). the problem with this is that too much force would be lost between these 2 contact points.

2nd problem would be...using conventional technology...how would you stop this thing? air-breaking would be the most simple way....but air-break doesn't do shit at low speeds.

It looks really cool, and the idea for spheres as wheels has a lot of potential. The maneuverability of the car would be incredible. But, the way this car is designed, it would have NO suspension. And if it ever hit a bump it would probably break the car. I think Audi could actually create something really amazing if they ran with the concept and tried to produce a car that actually ran on spheres for civilian purchase. But I doubt it will actually happen... It would cost too much.

@blkcnzproductions Electro-magnetic fields or something like that maybe. I had an idea like that one time. But it would be extremely hard because you couldn't have a suspension system. You could compare the difficulty of making it work to controlling anti-matter.. It's kinda impossible. But still, everything is impossible.

The "wheels" would be stationary within their housing and act as normal shock absorbers when hitting a bump, but that really is the two repelling magnets being forced together, creating a cushioning effect. Sorry if that was worded weird, I didn't know how to describe it.

most of what you are saying is true, but i think is magnet propulsion suspension was possible then it could easily be achieved, maybe even a detection system for bumps to raise the car and lower it accordingly.

but again, all this magnet power would need an energy source, and for a light, economic power source with that much power. its just not feasible at the current point in time.
