I have about 18 months of food stored, about 30 thousand in gold and silver, warm clothes, camping gear, bicycles, guns ammo, and a great paying nearly depression proof job but even I'm scared. Do you know why I'm scared? It's because you're right, it's scary crap.

No one is really ready for this but it sounds like you're light years ahead of the pack. Your state may have a few drawbacks but I envy you your climate. It's been frozen in the mornings off and on up here until now. I built a garden platform and got my earthboxes all setup and now I'm planning exactly what I want to start with. I'm starting out with a real citified method (Earthboxes) but I'll graduate to worm bins and more aggressive methods later. I envy you your AR-15 too.

Wow! She's a woman yet I can actually understand what she's saying. That's very rare. In spite of the extreme danger of utter financial destruction that comes with divorce I'd actually consider marrying this woman. Having someone like her to guard my back & my home while I'm at work, would be a huge advantage during the hard times that are headed our way. I'm on board with gardening too.
