  • I absolutely have to concur with fellas below...just plain 4 channels, very simple synthetised sound and look what they did from it....whoever is an author, he's damn genius

  • When this playback started, I thought: I remembered this track to be much faster than I see on the tracker. I didn't realize back in the days, that there was so much tweaking around the tempo. Slowdowns at the ends of the patterns are especially nice touch.

    Peace of art.

  • Hard to believe all of this sounds on just FOUR channels...

  • Hey, can someone help me? everytime i select the "Soundblaster" sound output, the Fast Tracker crashes! :[

  • ......... foreverrr :)))

  • AMIGA FOREVER, Beast of a track. Thanks for uploading, got crazy nostalgia.

  • By looking at the commands this is a mod. No FT commands as far as I can see. I'm guessing it is made with Amiga, perhaps protracker.

Good mod though! A very good mod!

  • AMIGA FOREVER!

  • good old fasttracker :D

  • Wow what a BOMB! Brings good old times back on memories where 4 channel music is inspiring and satisfying.

  • Do you (still) have the stones n bones modfile? (especially the highscore tune)

ps. or the beatbox intro mod from the pinball dreams?

  • @ijho987 All the music files are installed as mod files in the pinball fantasies directory.

Just open them with modplug player and you can listen to it as long as you want :D

  • I still have this file on my PC.. file date of 1994-04-26. Winamp plays these decently.

  • This is a pure skill.

  • man what a nostalgic feeling. i used to play this track over and over in dos with visual mod player.

  • i loved the cracktro too

  • aah, I remeber these days, I had the tracker version named "Noise Tracker"... I composed some pieces myself... but everything got lost in time. It was fun and easy to create music with those tools...

  • Crazy, I used to play this MOD inside a modplayer on my PC to listen to it. Now I'm watching a video of a PC running a tracker to listen to it :-)

  • How did you get this module anyway ? Ripped from the game or are you the author ? Anyway, great music all of it from this series of pinball games (Pinball dreams, Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Illutions). Not sure if it was available for any other platforms than Amiga (including CD32) ??.

  • @ledningen2001 In fact, the MOD is in the folder's game. It is a 4 track MOD, because the tracker used to make this MOD only had 4 track. Great job by the way. Best luck for you.

  • @ledningen2001 They released it on PC, and the MOD files are within the same folder as the program itself.

  • anyone know the origin of the snare-drum sample?

  • I have to ask, how much better quality is the real soundfile? Would you send it to me? i would certanly be a happy man if you would, because i love this tune and it's one of the songs that really laid the foundation for my taste in music. Feel free to answer in my channel, and maybe listen to my two songs i have up there. =)

  • @TorkelFlum jag har den ifall du vill ha den, men du kanske redan har fixat den.

  • @perautomatik Redan fixat den, men tack ändå. ;) Jävligt grym låt faktiskt..

  • great!!!

  • oohhh !!! pinball fantasies... a great game!! and fasttracker.. a great program.... I wanna return to the 90´s !!! :)

  • Ja Ja die gute alte Amiga-demo-szene Zeit

  • wow good job on that one. Sounds just like the Amiga version.

  • One of my favorites!! I loved the music and also the game back in those days.

i played the song hundred times on my 286/16mhz with ModEdit (2.0?) when my brother did'nt let me play the game on his 386/40mhz ;)

    thanks for bringing back memories!

  • 286 ? 386 ? that sucks man you had to have a Amiga

  • damn fasttracker loaded so damn fast!! i remember these good ol days with tears in my eyes! ;)

  • Nice... I don't enjoy using trackers too well (because I prefer a more visual composing environment - conventional MIDI), but I can certainly understand that this is a great accomplishment with just four channels. That's really cool, haha!

  • It's quite possible to combine three notes into one note, or create an arpeggio using an effect modifier.

  • AMIGA FOREVER

  • YES :-)

  • Amiga wtedy zabijała KLIMATEM ...

  • wow ! It's realy epic to make this song on 4 channels. Awesome !!!

  • very nice.love to see FT

  • Hey what a top MOD. Have to say one of the best theme tunes of any game. All of the music in Pinball Fantasies is excellent.

The amiga was a top machine for music making, custom sound chips working in turn with software made this machine a top piece of recording equipment. Electronic music production could be performed for as little as a few quid in your bedroom!

  • the best video game song of ever ( first with eyes on me )

Olof make a remastering in 44khz please!!!!

  • Always really liked this intro track for Pinball Fantasies, composed by Olof Gustafsson (Blaizer) in late 1992. I used to play this game a lot on my Amiga 500. Shame the Amiga 1200 AGA version didn't have the intro sequence. Also used to play this track a lot in ProTracker :)

  • Good one.

  • You can find its remix on the big amiga remix site..

  • this game had such great music, didn't it? i particularly liked the funk stuff on the racing table.

  • omg that really is memories, damn, thx!

  • awesome!!! the memories :)

  • This is such a great composition. Brings back lot of memories. It's funny, back then they had only 4 channels and the music rocked. Nowadays, they have symphonic orchestras and million dollar budgets - and what they do? Produce shitty music with bad melody and uninspired composition. These days the newest 3D-engine is the star of games. Not music.

  • yeah, i remember i was launching the game and the music was on, but i didn't play - just listened to the intro music! Can't imagine this happening nowadays.

  • @aalataur I agree, it's something special about Amiga-games even if the hardware is very much limitied compared to later game platforms. PC-games started a new era in game-computing where faster 3D-graphics and more realism was the main goal. On the Amiga it was just making the game as fun as possible.

  • @aalataur Yeah, the importance of music in games is greatly underrated. A cool music is what make a nice game a classic.

  • @Grognax So, soooo true!

  • @aalataur woooooooooooooord!!!!

  • @aalataur I think people get more creative when faced with restictions like limited number of channels, unlimited possibilities is sometimes a bad thing.

  • @aalataur ....not forgetting and so-called artists who think they make music by raping the shit out of classic tunes, by getting a sample and using that all over the place and pass it off as theirs!!... There's remixes, and re-releases.. but that is just wank!. Pinball Fantasies Intro is a pure classic I must say! :-D

  • @aalataur

To be honest.... The true star of game creation is the game itself. Four channels for music? What did it matter, we just use it (and in game only 3 were used to leave a channel open for SFX). Lesser graphics. Who cared. It was the game that mattered. And that's why I really miss those days.

Oh well, life goes on I suppose

  • @aalataur Well, the diamonds of nowadays' music just drown in the ocean of shit. :(

  • this brings back memories :) ^^ what prog do you use for recording the videos?

  • I use DOSBox' internal video record feature. Press CTRL + ALT + F5 during session to start recording. Use the same hotkey to end the recording.

  • ...and hypercam for non-DOSBox use.

  • the best

  • Ah, nostalgy!

I loved the Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Illusion games.
