There's absolutely nothing wrong with these harmonies. As the video was loading I was reading the comments going, "Oh no, Augustana bombed?" but as usual, they nailed it. That flanger and waver you are hearing is part of the effect. It's real, human, imperfect. I suppose if you want real perfect-pitch you could go listen to opera or the auto-tuned electronic lady gaga and her many synthesized choir members. I don't think the guy on the piano's voice was the problem, I think it was how loud his voice was compared to the lead vocalist's. Notice the bass player had some room to step back and let his voice drop back in the cut of the mix. The piano player couldn't do this, since he was just sitting there in front of his piano. If his voice was softer in the mix, the harmony would work out better.

okay, the guy on the piano harmonizing, is SOO off, and killing the whole song, he can't blend at all and is off key, he's flat half the time. the song was brillant besides that, the guitar player with the long hair has a great harmony and holds his part and blends perfectly though
