The vocal was recorded separately as an MP3 on the little iriver MP3 player you see lying on the piano. The piano was improvised over the bass and drums and recorded in real time on my computer - using Band in a Box. The challenge is to keep the vocal recording and the accompaniment separate with no audible 'spillage' from one to the other.
