  • KLR KLX KMX <333

  • @DerSilentDa I'm not sure what <333 means, I hope it's good!

  • @BigEsGarage Yes it means good.

  • @tosgem I was the only one who tried!! Maybe the 650 guys were scared...I love that bike!

  • Nice display of KLR650 fun. Thanks!

  • Cool vid. It reminds me of when I was a teenager.

  • @guyNbluejeans Dude the bikes back then KICKED ASS!!

An come on now, your not that old. One of the dudes in this vid is like 8 yrs. younger than you. I hope this inspires you to ride again, peace.

  • @BigEsGarage Thanks Much for the friendly encouragement! I actually do ride a '05 KLR 650 but I don't ride with the kind of reckless abandon like I did to some extent when I was younger. Reflexes aren't as quick. My bike is coming up on 12,000 miles so I need to have the valves looked at. Bike shops want around $300 for doing it but I think I'll look into what tools are needed and see if I can do it. I put the Thermo-bob on myself so maybe I can belly up to this job as well.:-)

  • @guyNbluejeans That's the best news and you ride GREEN.

DO IT!!! $300. is nuts..Do they use there feet ?!? My cust would have my skull on a stick Monty Python style. Basic tools should do it the most fancy thing would be a GOOD inch# wrench an a set feeler gauges.

Worst case is the cams need to come out to swap the shims if needed. If you don't own a book I would recommend the factory manual for sure. There is no better way to get intimate with your bike, LATER! What is a thermo-bob?

  • @BigEsGarage Actually, my bike is red and black (though I like the green more:-). Good to hear that I don't need any special tools, though I will have to get a fueler gauge. I do have a Clyde (??) book for it. The Thermo-Bob is a high quality after-market thermostat that resides on the outside of the motor. It's especially great for winter riding because it gets the temp up to where it should be and stays there which helps with better gas milage and longer engine life. Costs about $100.

  • 0:10 is so ROFL

  • increible riding of a KLR 650....

  • Very nice clip! Respect to the KLR and the riders.

  • Respect the KLR indeed or it will spank your ass and you will Eat Rocks and I don't like rocks in my mouth.

  • Not bad, but I wich you showed all of that off on the first clip!

  • Sorry man I didn't do it. I'm on the 250. Gary said I couldn't but I did. The last clip I popped the top a bit but he took it out. Its a conspiracy, 650 sallies against 250 thugs I swear!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bless your heart.

  • oh....SHIT....glad im getting this bike, did not think it was such a MAMMAL....how often you need new spark plugs considering its a kicker?

  • Not often at all. I fact I haven't replaced mine in three years, got about 5000 miles on it. Pull out yer baffle remove the intake snorkel (screen that opening for wet leaves an stuff.) there is a vent line on the carb put a tee fitting in it and run a second vent up under the tank making sure to pitch all the tubing down from carb. that will help in deep water crossings. PEACE!

  • what is the link between kick start and sparkplug?

  • Is this a riddle or question? One might say that a bike that eats plugs might be hard starting possibly due to an improper mixture and thus would suck to have a kicker. Another might answer a kick start ratchet ass'y, clutch basket driven gear and drive gear, crank ass'y, fly wheel, timing sensor, cdi box and coil ass'y.

  • ass'Y ?

Ooo forget about my questions dude .. its ok ...

a bike that eat sparkplug is probably not well jetted

  • Stop it. The editing was bad, but thanks, the content was better.

  • great editing, great content

  • Sweet. I can't wait for the snow to melt. Got ur self ther a thumpa!

  • nice good luck with that. its a sick but heavy bike, eat spam n slam. peace.

  • thanks. it is more than great fun its like diggen a big hole for your out house, your starving and there in the ground is a cooked chicken to eat sweeeeeeet!!!!

  • sweet, showin how capable klrs are. might need to lube ur chain since sand and water. my front brake skweaks a bit since i crossed water with mine, does yours?

  • sick, no ft brk squeak. but the rear drum needs constant cleaning and bearing replacement. I'd rather have the squeak. lube your chain stay sain, peace.
