Its kinda interesting that the "over the shoulder cam" is always a fixed camera, while a lot of the other shots are from someone holding a camera or a boom camera. This makes it very easy to sort of half and half the screen, with a delay of just a second or so on the kicker half. Derren Brown is just watching the kicks, marking them down, then its turned into "magic" in editing.

He couldn't predict the player hitting the post atleast, i doubt if the player meant to hit it. The kicker's accuracy is dependent on many things, I don't imagine Derren could predict that but he could probably predict where the guy wants to hit the ball, on which case he wouldn't be right when the guy misses his aim.

You can try to watch were there looking, how there leaning, and if you can what side of the ball has more more foot behind it... These things are just clues. I played as a keeper for 12 years of competitive soccer I was told to look for these things... but Its just leaving to much to chance. I wouldn't be able to do get it right every time...

What I did was offset my self so I was more to one side of the goal by like 5 inches... the kicker will most always shoot for the bigger target.

Quite simple trick: Let him shoot 20 times and just show the 5 correct predictions into the camera - typically Darren Brown.

You can also see on every new shot that he starts with an empty paper and removed the already written papers from the staple to avoid that you can see, how many papers he already filled out.

I think it is faked. He is known for this just as much as his hypnotic/NLP/suggestion bits. Notice how he never crosses a certain line of the picture, where the goal is. I reckon he filmed the whole thing, with his writing down the previous goal's shot; he then re-edited it after, so that it looks like he was doing it simultaneously with the footballer, as opposed to directly after.

@homm88 Yes, it is definitely done with camera tricks. He used the same method when he read a psychologist's mind and when he predicted the lottery numbers on live tv.

Nevertheless, I do not think that these instances of video manipulation makes Derren a less talented artist or lowers his credability, these are still tricks that take foundation in misdirection and showmanship. His techniques are truly ingenious.

All I'm saying is this video is absolute crap. Even if it's real there is no way to know it wasn't a setup.The only way to check is to have him predict penalties in real time,i.e during an actual game! Also another thing that nobody checked is:did he instruct the kicker to change his angle everytime? Because repeating an angle is a very COMMON method kickers use. It would be stupid to change your angle all the time. But here the kicker changes every time. Not something a normal kicker would do.
