  • i'm not certain i care what it's about ( although i agree with the idea of the "tinkers") it's a great tune and song/

  • its about the edge of an existence, the Irish indigenous population. rich in music and people, nature and passion for life. love the guitar.

  • VH1 played this video fairly regularly in 1989 IIRC, but it didn't hit any charts.

  • Yes you're right VH1 did give it tons of air play back in 89-90. loved it!

  • Good film, I have some very personal, connection with this, Def, "Into The West" watch it, great film, A must, if you are to understand.

  • Carlos Alberto Casti Méndez

  • Sorry about the spelling, it`s definitly into the west,

  • The film, "In to the West",big possability.

  • a great song, havent heard it in years, nice to finally find it again

  • art is what you can make it to be, luka is an artis so he gets it, we don't have to get it unless we are on the same page, it is a good song, the video doesn't have to mean anything, we just should enjoy the music. looks like northern ireland in some areas of belfast, seperation, religion peace

  • If it's any consolation, Idon't get it either. I like the song though.

  • i do love this song..i think it's my favorite, BUT can anyone tell me what the hell the video is about...

a bit od irish dancing, and someone riding (bareback) a lovely grey horse. am i just totally thick? i do not get it...

  • From the looks of it, it's a bit of a love story. Little boy, little girl, one settled...one a gypsy (the boy), and then take the rest from there.

At least that's what I get from it.

  • I think it's about leaving, not sure but is beauty

  • This album saw me through some really rough times as a teenager. Seeing this brought back alot of memories. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • i LOVE this song

  • Níl aon dabhat ach go bhfuil Luka Bloom thar barr. This is one of the greatest songs that I have ever heard and what about those chords? Excellent!

  • Such a great talent Luka is! Thanks for these vids. Do you happen to have any vid off of his "The Acoustic Motorbike" cd? That's my favorite of his, although they're all good.

  • Thank you for posting this! I'll have to check out the other Luka songs.

I saw Luka Live for the first time last year and he was incredible.

I'm playing guitar and singing his song Gone To Pablo at my next Open Mic night.

    Thanks for posting.
