im korean but i dont really speak all that well, infact i can only make little basic sentences, but would they allow me to audition if i didnt know how to speak the language fluently

yeah you are basicly allowed to sing in any language. though it is better to be fluent in korean. but if u get chosen u get a private tutor to teach you. but is long and strenuous. YOU can sing in Chinese Japanese korean , and english. I wouldn't try anything else. i can sing in japanese but i am not fluent so if u sound fluent thats good too

i don't think you have to speak korean to pass the audition. some of the sm artists didn't speak korean before sm signed them. e.g HanGeng (SJ), Amber (fx), Henry (SJ-M), etc

I heard that they have confirmed that they will be holding global auditions in US and Canada this fall. But SME hasn't given that information so it's very hard to know what true and what's not.

If you want to audition, but you don't live near an audition place, you can audition via email. Visit the sm entertainment website and look for the audition button and it should tell you.

it can be ANY SONG. You're dancing to the WHOLE SONG. After they say you're done, you go home.

Oh yea... the group you go with, usually in 5-10, you sing and dance in front of you. When you think about, as a singer, you have to be able to perform in front of millions of people.

Ok. DANCING is mandatory. After you finish singing, they will play an upbeat song that you have to dance to. Last year, they played "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake. Good luck you guys.

you go into the rooms in groups. They givey ou numbers and room letter. Its probably with you and a couple other people (3-5) and one judge who just video tapes you.

The judges are VERY PICKY!! If they don't stop you while you're singing, then they like you, but if they don't, they can stop you within the first 15-30 seconds. I auditioned online and was given an invitation to audition in person, but never received a call back. When you sing, you're put in groups. While I was auditioning, there was at least 6-7 other people auditioning in the group. There was a guy who sang a whole new world from beginning to end. Very good too, but no call. So good luck!^_^

you basically go in & fill out the papers they give you. They will give you a number. Until then, you sit around and practice your song til' they call your number. The building where I audition has a big ball room. They will call 10 at a time, wait in another room, then you'll sing in front of the judges. Hope that helps.

Hmm well here's how it usually is. I think SM only lets you audition for one thing. I'm not sure though so don't take my word for it. But they'll just ask you for basic info and you do your performance to the end or until they tell you to stop.

JYP is the company that Rain used be under and Wondergirls is under it now. Their audition was a tad more flexible because they let you audition for more than one thing at once but you were still under time limit.

I do remember reading on SM's website for their previous global audtion saying something along the lines of 'If you're Asian of any background (so not just koreans), feel free to come and audition". And then of course there are the many websites that have people stating that you're 'supposed' to be Asian
