Crysis still had better graphics. All they did was bump up the Ambient Occlusion and add a shit ton of Bump Maps everywhere in C2. I can still run C2 on Max settings but can only run Crysis on Medium.

Some how Crysis 2 DX11 on max settings for me is more demanding than Crysis DX10 and even BF3 DX11 max.

In fact, especially nowadays when we have excesses of 50,000 polygons on some models, plus the inclusion of bump-mapping, normal-mapping, and tessellation, graphics are more benefiting from advances in shaders and physics than anything. Just go on a game like Skyrim. The models in skyrim use the same amount of Polys across all fields of graphics quality. The differences in graphics come from shaders and textures, and the differences are night and day.

Yea I agree but its like shaders and lighting have got to a level that it cant be impoved much more without future technology like real time ray tracing, so the devs at direct X just put alot of effot into tessellation and displacement mapping.

There is a big difference in quality between a flat brick wall and a tessellated brick wall.

@Lakozte I was able to run Crysis with all settings on high except shaders on medium with theAasus x 1600. It's not only a video card problem. You have to take care of your computer. What I mean is that I keep a lot of free space on the disk, I run defrag, I blocked all the unnecessary process, I modified the graphic of windows (it's heavy), and all of those things. If you do that, you will see a lot of difference.
