Don't be hard on yourself when you make mistakes and don't apologize for them too I think you can truly enjoy playing bass or guitar whatever instrument you playing when you let go completely i know its not easy when you trying to get used to a new instrument but still when you play chords you the groove :) but you need a lot more practice to get solo right anyways I enjoy listening your cover and thanks to you I discovered another great mayer song I didn't know :P

for a beginner this is a really good cover, but yeah you should probably use lighter strings so it'll be easier to bend and your fingers won't hurt as much.

Nice cover! To improve your bending, try to push the string using 3 fingers in the same string. Also the string gauge helps: I use .009 - .042... I tried .010 once and it was hard for me. Cheers

Only two things to say....practice your bends and they will be just fine, and try the second position of G on the the 3rd and 5th fret just because it has a less bassy, acoustic rock feel and more bluesy edge, rest, its all good!! U rock!!

Wanna make that strat sound like john mayers very distinct sound. Buy some Klein Pickups S-5s their about 200 bucks but yeah, your guitar will sound amazing with those pickups...Im getting some lol. anyway, keep it up, john mayer is why I am playing guitar and wanting to do a solo project. So were about in the same boat.

Love your accent! What size strings are u using? Try using lighter strings till your fingers get used to the bends.

I was taught to use my thumb for the E, A and D strings, then fingers for the rest in order (index for G, middle for B and ring for high E). Makes things a little more fluid. Otherwise GREAT cover
