  • There re many kinds and variations of some martial arts and exercise systems. People find what is suitable for them. As a personal and group instructor, I use many different types of techniques. I like the sun style of Tai Chi and the Yang style. Others may prefer the Chen style. No problem. True, there is a profit aspect but there are costs involved with teaching and costs involved producing DVDs. The question is: do they help people achieve their health and fitness goals? I believe they do.

  • GREAT PRESENTATION !1

  • Terry Dunn has excellent Tai Chi videos if u check out Amazon(.)com He has one for Short Form and one that is Long Form.

  • Does this mean that Dr Lam's "Tai Chi for Arthritis" etc. is now no good for older people? ?

Surely an expert can replace all these Tai Chi for this and that, with one Tai Chi for Health? People would only have to buy one DVD then.

Many older people suffer from many ailments and it does not seem logical to have them buy different DVD's for each individual ailment they have, unless the objective is to maximise the sales of DVD's for profit.

  • @greentaigi You make excellent points. Tai Chi has become profit. lots of complex coordinated forms to learn requiring many classes or lots of DVDs. Cheng man-ching's form is adequate for everyone who wants benefit from Tai Chi. But many older people can't remember the synchronised movements without constant instruction which requires financial outlay on continued classes. That's why Chinese Wand is easier, more cost effective and comprehensive - suitable for everyone and every ailment.

  • alhmak? oh God! another................do your research well?its not magic!

  • Try selling your vcds in China and see the impact/results?
