@LadyLatias Flash is like their baby brother. They all feel it would be their job to keep him safe and losing him would be too much, just like with normal brothers and sisters. And really, Flash is the baby out of them. By rights Wally West should only be the same age as Dick (Robin/Nightwing), which makes him a lot younger then the rest of them.

@Sermardenation It's unknown what actually happened to them afterward, but I would guess they were returned to their own dimension where alternate Batman dealt with them. Luthor's weapon probably was meant to be permanent, but the powers might have returned, especially Superman's if he was allowed to absorb enough yellow sunlight.
