Potions are something you will make once you have a giant castle and everything in diamond.

Stats make it too much RPG.

@OrkTv There aren't stats, just Potions that increase/decrease how you preform for a short period of time. It makes the game a lot more interesting.

I like the Hunger Bar, because it actually makes food-eating a necessity, rather than just something you do when you're fighting creatures. I've never died from hunger, because Notch was able to make your bar last long enough to where you only really need to eat some food every once in a while.

anyway, i think that potions and stuff belong in adventure and survival remains how it used to be. i just think that for the people that like this stuff, adventure should have it.
