They were LOW approach, airn't they? I believe the altitude is ok because 1. on short final, our engine cover is right below the runway threshold 2. the PAPI indication is for jets, and we're smaller... I mean, smallest props ^_^
depends... power-on approach, normal glide. power-off, higher than normal glidepath. aiming point must be 1/3 upwards of windshield. but i realized that the "zoom-in" made it looked high. i realized it was the same all the way. but i don't think that's low. i think it was "normal" and anything higher would be a higher than normal approach. and most single props do power-off, higher than normal approach. ideally. i know i do. but power-on is fun! pitch for speed, power for altitude. hehe.
I hope so asia1mage, Ive been flying at Omni for 2.5 years, i'm one of the Hong Kong lads who come down once a month, i'm planning to start posting my collection of Omni vids here in the next few days....as far as 1049 goes, I have a scale model of her here in the office ontop of my computer, and her instrument panel is my windows wallpaper!
Thanks for sharing you Video...I really miss 1049!!!!It reminds me all my memories in OMNI!! specially My 1st solo flight last 1996 i think....hehehe.
Volare (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia- "Volare" (Italian for the infinitive tense of the verb "to fly") is another popular name for Domenico Modugno's signature song "Nel blu dipinto di blu" (literally "In the blue painted blue").
that actually looked quite high on final. i dunno i'm sure it's just an illusion from the camera.
