Technically Cloud of Darkness isn't the main antagonist of FFIII, the real villain was Xande. However they really ruined Xende's reputation by making 4 copies of him that where extremely easy as a prelude to the Cloud of Darkness battle. Oh well, I'm hoping Xende eventually gets a role in Dissidia FF, so he can finally be well known.
"If you want to hear themes of the same kind, I compose of it regularly. I try to make musics which highlight the feelings and I have some of it which are estimated. You can already go to listen to it on my channel."
@brandpanz Well, the villain of FF II, the emperor Mateus is pretty famous villain because he accomplishes quite lot (he even kicks Satan's ass!), after Kefka, Sephiroth, Kuja and Golbez, but I never hear anyone mentioning the Cloud of darkness.
@Nibelungenherr1876 Well, the Cloud of Darkness doesn't really do that much, quite honestly, so nobody says that she's their favorite villain. Same thing goes with Yu Yevon. Despite how important he is, he doesn't really do much in the game's central storyline, other than technically being the final boss (a really easy one at that).
I always cry at the end... I just remember Elia... she was a good girl.
Something sad about FF is that everyone sacrifizes themselves for the heroes. It makes me very sad. Count how many guys have sacrifized themselves in FF III or IV.
This song....this song is what made Final Fantasy III one of my favorite games in the franchise next to Final Fantasy IV. The story, the characters, the gameplay, the climax. They were amazing...but this song kept me coming back so I could listen to it before I start playing...I have it on my iPod now because I sold the game after I beat it twice. Whenever it comes on (which is very rare), the end makes me cry. It's a feeling of nostalgia, good times and adventure. That's what Final Fantasy is.
At 1:56 is the part from one of my greatest dreams that I heard. Escaping the cold hatred world to escape to a world full of freedom and beauty, when I got to that world...this song plays as I saw magnificent buildings, mountains over the horizon, and the sky was beautiful....I could never think of a better dream then that, and a better song for it.
To make it really short and simple, I freaking love this track. :) Very much.
@azal8521 i agree, they need more pixelated (or at least ff4ds graphics), midieval-esque final fantasies. they were my favorite, i love them so much i have all 1-6 (and im only 12)
@DrayFan12 starting the summer before last (2009), I bought and beat all the Final Fantasy games 1-10 and finished number 10 last summer (2010). The 2D ones definitely have a certain quality I like that the 3D ones kind of lose
Wow the one dislike has no soul. I didn't know FF had amazing music like this and im a video game music lover. This is just so beautiful and radiant like my girlfriend which I love so much. ^_^ <3 A absolutely superior piece indeed.
This one actually prefaced with that. It speaks of the Dark Warriors at some point in the game and how they had to keep the balance. We just never get to play their adventure.
When I was being tested for cancer (fortunately, I didn't have the disease) I would listen to this song over and over. It was a beautiful beacon amidst the depression I was suffering.
I remember when I got this game for Christmas in 2006! During those days, I was very depressed, and I thought "I feel like I'm amount to learn something important..." Sure enough, I did!
Wow, I have to say, I think ff iii has the best soundtrack of any of the first 5 games, chiptune or orchestral. I wonder how it sounds in midi (that's what the snes games used, right?)...
ii dunno why final fantasy always brings the best out in me. everyday i listen to it and it calms my heart and makes me wanna just help others...i like final fantasy mainly because it makes me believe that i can become a hero if i just believe in what i believe.
I was in a book store, and I started reading a Redwall book, and I suddenly felt the urge to help people and to be courteous to everyone. I thought, "Wow, Brian Jacques, do you know how much of a positive force you are in the world?"
It's a gorgeous arrangement, like most of the ones in FF3 DS, but I think I actually liked these tunes better on the NES. They were remarkable there for what they accomplished with minimal technology. Now they're just like any other orchestrated game music.
One of the greatest Final Fantasy songs of all time. You just want to start an epic journey up the side of some enormous mountain when you hear this, or dance.
First and greatest game I ever got for the DS

This theme is perfect for this game. It's the theme of an epic story, but yet it suits the somewhat childish atmosphere of the game as well.
