Questions, these are an amateur questions since I never tried water cooling devices inside a computer so please keep that in mind.
Isn't it dangerous to actually have water cooling? And how often do you need to flush the water? If the water touches the computer, the computer basically stops working. Correct? >_>;; ...
@benjenings i am about to buy parts to liquid cool my pc but I am confused on what fittings to buy. all of my parts have 1/4" threads but I do not know what kind of fittings to get. do i get compressive fittings, barbs, compression elbows?? i just do not know. I am going to cool my i7 processor and 2 5870's. are compressive fittings for if i want to use bigger than 1/4" tubing and barbs are used if the thread and tubes are the same size?
@xLinkinPark209x If you are going to cool an i7,you might want to consider using 3/8 fittings. You will need more coolant flow.To answer the question of which fittings to use, that won't really matter, they all work well,as long as you stick with Koolance products.Hope that helped.
please forgive me if i am miss a point here.but wasn't the whole point of liquid cooling a computer to help ELIMINATE fans and/or noise and fans? just my 2 dollars
@benjenings Its not even watercooling, i mean what does that bring and when some water goes out of some of that things then your PC gone R.I.P. enough dangerous
They need to make full tower acrylic cases. Though I guess I wouldn't be much of a fan thanks to working on one and hating the cable management ability of it. Also no way to ground yourself.
that is pretty ugly. i hate that clear case becasue it shows all the colorful rainbow wires and it just looks bad. it would be better if the wires were hidden.
@nick14454 if your any good and have brains you use an in-earth liquid(de-ionized water or another cooling liqiud) it shouldnt damage any electronics as it doesnt conduct electricity but its messy to clean up. its very rare for a good water cooling system to leak anyway(if you install it correctly) however if the liquid gets into HDD's DVD or floppy drives it could do damage and they could need replacing.
you have a rad, hoses and a cooling system for your expensive pc parts, just like a car.you have to add fluid and it keeps everything nice and cool.if it leaks it causes a ton of damage but everyone checks their pc for leaks when they set up water cooling before running it and fully installing it,then they can find and fix all leaks before assembling the pc completely.

put you rad out side in the winter oh boy that will be a wicked cooled pc !
I have a rad mounted out side my bedroom window with protective hood just in case it rain's to protect the fan's.
Then drilled two hole's bottom of the bedroom wall so the hose's can go to the rad out side been haveing some really cold weather here in uk.
Got the i7 down to 12c useing a modded thermaltake 850i water cooling kit and to go with a bigger rad .
But it worked for me. :)
Great PC keep the good work up !

uut0 2 years ago
No offense, but Koolance is one of the crap brands of WC parts.
Why you ask?
Poor QC/design (crossthreaded screws, bad milling, blocks milled with pieces then soldered/welded in..)
Rusty fittings.....
ALUMINUM RADIATORS/other parts...
Seriously, if you don't believe me, just do some research.
A few good parts companies: Bitspower, EK, Watercool, Hardware Labs (Black Ice radiators), Thermochill, Feser.
Again, NEVER mix Aluminum with either Copper or Brass.....
