u can record from master or booth output. u need a 3,5jack to cinch cable to plug the output in a laptop or pc line in.

the booth output is the best way, because u can adjust the gain from the boothknob.

@FunkyJustis I got my own mapping now, working just fine. The soundcard in the VMS4 is horrible. Glitches out all the time. I just use my Numark DJIO for sound. But the only things that are confusing me are how to get cue points 5-8 to work with holding down the shift button, and I want all of the effects knobs to work equally. The white knobs are too slow when I turn them, idk why. If you could help explain either one of those issues, that'd be helpful. Thanks!

I got my VMS4 and upgraded my Traktor to traktor pro 2 but I can't find any good mapping for playing with 4 decks.... I've been trying now for over 2 days and it still does't work !!!! please help ???????

the potis are very fast in traktor, but the vms4 has an turbo mode to fix this issue. press cue, play and pause on the left deck while you turn on the unit. that activates the turbo mode. BUT, u have to turn it on everytime you turn on the vms4 :(

go to controler manager an delete all added devices. the keyboard too, if you dont use it.

hit add and the import.

search the mappingfile, wich is linked in the desciption of this video.

be sure, that In and Out-Port is on All Ports.

Das Pad funktioniert, ist aber etwas zu klein um damit schnell auf einem 22" zu Scrollen.

Overall, how do you like the vms4? ive only ever used cdjs and im trying to go digital without timecodes, and get a controller. this one i really like. just kinda wondering if theres any downsides to it.

for the price, its a very good controller. only the potis from the mixer are very fast. so, you change the value of poti only a little bit and the sound goes on. very touchy.

the vms4 has a intern soundcard. you have to change the settings in traktor to the ASIO driver. then, set the mode on external and add the channels. thats it.

Could you make a tutorial for working with the LEDs? I'm using SubKonsious' mapping as well, but I'd like to add a little flare to it by making the play button flash CDJ style, as well as change the colour of the cues etc depending on which deck you're set to.

anyway, you have to install virtual dj first. it will install the asio driver wich you need for traktor.

Hi ! just wondering if you can help me. trying to apply a midi map to traktor for my vms for. if i import a tsi file it just seems to reset everything, and nothing appears in the mapped controls list so i have been trying my best to map it myself but there are some stuff i just cant get to map, like the jog wheels and the hot cues. do you have any advice ?

where is the tsi file from, and wich version of traktor did u use? i think, tsi files from traktor dj studio wont work with traktor pro. have u set the in and out ports of "all ports" ?

the mapping 4 the wheels is a little bit tricky. u have to set a couple of thinks to get the wheels work., because there is a push encoder in the wheels. ive mapped my vms4 not by my own, so i cant help u for the wheels. im sorry.

did u import a complete tsi file? try to import only the midi mapping. the link is in my description.

for this, go to preferences - controller manager - add - import

then check the in-port and out-port. set to "all ports"

@pablodos7 I'm guessing you expect to just plug an play. That won't work. Go to the setup wizard in the Traktor Pro software (bottom left) and see if Traktor automatically supports your VMS4 controller. If it does, you're set. If it doesn't, use Google to look up a ".tsi" file which will map your controller to Traktor Pro. If you can't find one, you will have to do it manually. Also, look up how to set up your audio in and audio out through your controller instead of your comp. PM me if problem.

Dank der Asio4ll Treiber kannst du für jeden Player einen anderen Ausgang auswählen im Trekker. Demnach reicht die interne vollkommen aus.

Eher vom Verstärker zur VMS4. Die VMS4 hat 2 Ausgänge. Booth und Master. Das Mapping was ich gerade nutze findest du in der Description vom Video. Kannst aber auch einfach mal Googlen. Gibt einige.

Das wäre von Vorteil, ja. Du kannst natürlich auch nur auf Kopfhörern mixen. Aber das ist ja nicht wirklich Sinn der Sache.

@DJDrunkenBeat No, you don't need an external soundcard for Traktor. The one inside the VMS4 will do it all. BUT, if you want to use Traktor SCRATCH Pro (with control turntables) you will need the Audio 8 DJ. That's just how it works. But I use a controller with an internal soundcard that works perfectly with Traktor pro.
