Hey, What settings do You use for the LOG tone.

I bought this pre couple days ago, and can't get a decent LOG tone.

Mark IV in every settings has the LOG tone :D

@coin777 settings: vol7 mas6 tre8 mid2.5 bass2.5 drive6 Leadmaster3.5 Eq: middle one all the way down middle left and middle right are right in the middle far left is about 3/4 up far right is about 4.5/8 up bright and thick switches are on. preamp volume is at 2, and i use it with a mesa 50/50 with the presence on 10.

im looking at getting a "modern sounding amp" don't worry im keeping the jvm. lol. love that tone man. it just does not have everything. i don't thing one amp can have everything. i tried a triple and duel and did not like them, but im going to give them another shot when i can crank them up. but the amps im looking at are the 6505+ or the engl savage. any thoughts ?

I m not a fan of th 6505, but i do enjoy playing ENGL amps. If you re not looking something versatile, i d go Fireball or Savage for a heavy tone, and pretty good cleans.

If you want versatility they say that the Powerball (or even the Souvereign) is a safe bet good tone.

Probably a bit different, but its from a tab. The harmonics and stuff are all added.

dude i got to try out a rectafier and it sucks, but the mark V is Nasty. The only amp i like from boogie.

Try the Mark 3, 4, best for this kind of tone ;)

Otherwise a Studio or quad preamp with a good poweramp.
