I play guitar, bass, mandolin, drums, and I'm trying to learn violin. Guitar is by-far the easiest instrument I've learned, and violin is the hardest by far. That being said, this version is grating on my ears. Well-played, horribly arranged. Downright painful to hear. Very talented player playing a very poorly arranged piece.

i couldnt tell you for sure but i would have to say easier to play guitar but that shouldnt matter the question you should ask is which would be more rewarding based on what you like to listen to more because in the end if you cant get the sound your looking for you wont play so even if one is harder then the other the one you want to play more will be easier for you to learn because youl practice more and get alot less frustrated hope this helps

Violin is harder because all of the fingering is by memory..

Violin is way harder because you don't have frets like the guitar does unless you get one of the tapes on the violin for beginners

And tapes only show where to put your fingers, so you still might miss the right spot, unlike with static frets that are the ones that stop strings, with fingers just making the fret stop. :P
