my father, Tom Higgins, was recently diagnosed with this horrible disease, and his neurologist said it is progressing rapidly. All we can do is be there for him and offer our support. It is like being trapped in your own body. Dad was lucky enough to travel to see the Boston Bruins win the Stanley Cup in Vancouver this week, so he is crossing off things from his Bucket List and enjoying the time he has left

@Q8xFree my father was on the venterlator but became a veggi. in the hospital bed we purchased for him and he didn't want his wife and children to see him that way! he said if he couldn't even hug his own children or talk to them, it was worse then death itself.He went off the venterlator and his heart shut down slowly! He was a RN (nurse) in ICU and he died in the ICU with his family around him. thank you for your sympathy.
