The Music really is absolutely great and the code inspired my fantasy. The Circle-part in this demo gave me the idea to some kind of flexible round 3D-Shape routine similar to the game Tau Ceti on C64 - it worked fine and was very fast, but it never was released as a demo. I never found the source again. I wish I had all my old code. only very few from C64 and Amiga survived. It would be very cool to see some code-database for the old demos in the future. Some effects still drive me crazy.
I wish I was alive during these times... These Amiga demos look like they were a blast to produce. I am a tracker and I am also a huge fan of 4-mat. I just love listening to old .mod files made in the early 1990's.
@TheKoreanX Now i feel old :) - And you are correct ,the AMIGA days (and c64) were amazing ...Its just not the same today.I used soundtracker / Protracker from the late 80s until around 1998.Still have my AMIGA - I'd just like to thank the creators of these fantastic AMIGA demo's.I see some of them have posted ....Your work was appreciated and is still remembered fondly today by many people.
@TheKoreanX amen to that, i was born in 94 and i wish i was to, but on the contrary, i am making a game for psn xbox live and wii, it uses our own special arcade board, but man wish i could have been a part of this :D
@TheKoreanX Very special times.. but you can get involved and create a new scene.. Back then everyone did all of this because it was fun, they were learning, and I think that now more than ever we need a new breed to create. Don't be put off by the huge complexity that you see in recent gen games.. It is all born from 3d gfx, with directx ever more easy to get into..
Kreator worked for Reflections (Psygnosis), post ANARCHY, making stuff like Destruction Derby.
Left to form the Dev team PITBULL SYNDICATE, who later got bought by MIDWAY, and renamed MIDWAY NEWCASTLE, but i think midway went tits up a while ago, but could be wrong.
Went on many boozy night out with Kreator, up to late 90's in Leeds and Newcastle, keeping our friendship alive for many years, post-Anarchy..
whatever happened to Kreator? he was the guy who put Anarchy on the map.. Mr Troughton, i believe.. I used to write to him snail mail and discuss coding. At the time I had no clue, and I believe he was studying at Oxford in Mathematics. How these demos shaped my future in computing is remarkable.. Miss the copy parties..
Nuke was an amazing musician, the music in this demo is so good, some of the best I heard on the amiga back in the day. I wonder what these guys are doing now? Would love to know. I think Dan (the coder) went onto to work on commercial games for Core Design, games like chuck rock 2 etc
Hmmm dont really know to be honest. Weren't their styles quite different, ie didn't 4mat do a lot more chiptune stuff, whereas Nuke worked mainly with sample based music?
I never owned an Amiga yet some how this still warms my heart :,)

badmofker - I was Kreator, as Mark (MrJudgeDrokk) said I worked for Reflections on a bunch of games including the Destruction Derby series.
After Midway folded last year I'm now back at Reflections as Technical Architect working on the latest and greatest incarnation of Driver.
Hope some of you guys can get back in touch.

IF the guy that wrote this demo was 20 years old in 1991, he is 38 years old today. Amazing how fast time goes by!

God.... The memories come flowing back. Though I never sold my Amiga 1200 (it's still on a desk in my house) I still sorely miss my A500.

this demo is just perfect. very relaxed with good gfx, music and code. liked it then, like it still.
this demo, in my opinion, goes to show that a demo is more than its separate parts (code, gfx, music).

Lovely demo.
I especially like the music by Nuke. ^^
