Awww, Generational Gap.. When i was in my teens and early 20s, this was all I was concerned about..who had the tightest system...These days, I spend my duckets on CLairity other than Bass....I have subs of course, but nothing over 100or so Decibles..Nice system though.
Hatch backs are fucking awesome for bass I have this same sub in a ram quad cab trucks are so limited to airspace its hard to make it sound good unless my windows are down nice set up man
@manuel9521683 29" wide x 12" tall x 19" deep. The port is 10.5" x 3" wide x 30.33" long tuned to 34 hz. Check out my new float and flex vids. Show me another single 12 floating things in mid-air. If you do then send me the link please.
@osthyvel100 It did a 145.9 on music. I have since re-done a few things and it hits harder. Maybe 147db. I'll find out for sure pretty soon when I do another run on the TL.
Well, first off the enclosure is the key to any good install. As far as the sub goes, I'm running right at 3400 rms to this sub daily. It's just loud as heck man. I know your sub handles 700 rms which is a lot less. So yes, in the right enclosure with atleast 2000 rms going to the HCCA, it should out pound the Eclipse sub easily. It's doing a 145.6 db right now. I had the door wide open too will using the Termlab. I'll do another sealed up and post a vid soon. Thanks for looking.

@AAaudio710 I don't know if you've ever seen an HCCA in person, but if you do, you'll see why these subs pound so hard. They're unforgiving bass monsters. The cheapest place around is Dealer Cost Car Audio. look up Orion HCCA 12.2. If you do get this sub, you will need an amp with at least 2000 rms plus on tap. So if the amp does not carry at least a 150 amp fuse rating, it's not putting out the power it claims and is over rated. I'm running 1400 over rms and this sub laughs at me.
@bigjv2005 The amp is a MTX TA92001 @ 1ohm. The volume is at 40 outta 62. Yeah I built the box using WinISD. Great box building program. It's gotta single slot port tuned to 34hz.
It's an '86 Dodge Conquest aka Mitsubishi Starion. I got smacked on the driver's rear quarter panel which is why it's like 3 different colors right now. The song is Gucci Mane "Disaster". It a remix. Yeah for one 12 it's pretty loud. Since the the car was designed and built for road-rally racing back in the 80's the car's really stiff which is good for an SPL set-up. Thanks guys for the complements. Keep it bangin.
i just bought this sub. how good can you hear it outside your vehicle? serious questoin.
