People are seriously raging about how Aquaman doesn't suck? Umm, it was a joke in a TV show. Don't get mad at the writers and say "rawr they clearly don't read comic comic books because Aquaman is the coolest guy ever". Just because a character in a TV show says a line doesn't mean the writers necessarily agree with it... in fact, they probably aren't hardcore comic book fans and don't have an opinion either way.

Very disappointed in the writers of this show. This just shows they don't read comics because when this episode was written Brightest Day was being published so Aquaman was back and kicking ass. After Raj should Aquman sucks Sheldon should have corrected him. Now that would have made sense.

@gokux75 Well they definitely went for the cheap joke that everyone would get(I don't like the show) but people don't like every character and sometimes they only like some. Flash fans especially tend to really over power the flash and bemoan no one getting how he's the most powerful thing EVAR.

At least he has a large awareness. But maybe due to a generation of kids growing up with JLU and Brave and the bold, things will get better.

However, the face is dead on. I disagree with Raj, of course, but I'm impressed with the producers going into that much detail for the Storm prop.

If you think about it, Aquaman really doesn't suck...He doesn't just talk to fish, he has control over all sea life. He basically has control of the inhabitants of 2/3 of the earth. Not only that, but he's been known to use his mind control to tap into the primitive parts of the human brain in order to control people's emotions. He has a harpoon for a hand, and for a while wielded the Trident of Poseidon. He's amazingly durable, has great stamina, and can lift over 10,000 tons.

The only real weakness he has is he can't live long without water, needing it after about a day. Basically, as long as he had $2.50 for the vending machine, he's unstoppable.

The whole point of the DC Universe is that their characters are iconic and actual superheroes. Yet, at the same time they have to struggle with the fact that they're also human. They have the powers of a god but have the foolishness of mortals, and they have to cope with that.
