If they have a problem with it then they should make it so that it don't work for internet play, I mean it's my internet I'm using. Sony can tell as long as your system is connected to the internet. The thing is, you need an internet connection to transfer the game to your system. No internet, no game. But with internet, sony can detect you. Sony however is NOT banning concels at the moment.
I agree with you guys that people did take the time to make these games, but why is the price so damn high?? I remember when PS2 and Xbox games were $50, that was a bit much but doable. But now, $60 is alot of money especially in these times. If they had reasonable prices, or at least gave reasonable reasons why they cost so much, it would make sense. i actually just hacked my ps3 the other day and now i can put in the disk and save it to my hard drive i no longer need the disk to play the only hard part is trying to rent all the games which i can't with no money cuz im broke or just borowing the game from one of my freinds but the few freinds i have that have ps3 don't have many games and most of the games they do have i already own
In argentina there isn't another way to buy or download pirated games, because people here is too stupid to pay 200 $ (argentinian money), so they buy the game pirated, and the cost is 10$ (argentinian money), all here is expensive because it's imported from another country, but it's worth paying 200$ for a game that can live for a long time, pirated games have a small scratch, almost imposible to see, and the game will not work or will work like shit.
Personally I feel that already many people download various forms of media illegally online, but can't they think about the fact that a whole team of people have spent millions on each game, movie or song just so they can make ends meet? would you like it if you spent hours on a project and then have someone rip the idea off or just steal it altogether, come on guys, draw a line somewhere.

Every major console ever since the Atari 2600 had/has pirate games for it. The PS2 along with the PS1 was one of the most pirated consoles ever due to how easy it was to copy those discs, back in the cartridge days it was much harder and expensive to copy those games but it was still possible.
In the United States, Canada and some other richer countries piracy is not so widespread because people fear getting caught. But in poorer(sp?) places like Brazil piracy is all over the place...

Then they download a game for free which is stealing from those that worked hard to make the game.I do not have a problem with downloading older games that do not make these gaming companies money anymore. I even buy the old games since having a real system and real game is better. Emulation of games is alright for rare or expensive old games. I have not heard of a modded PS3 yet.

i have 2 360's, only 1 is flashed while the other isnt as i bought it to play online, i also have a ps3 as well. It is worth having a flashed console if u like single player games like myself as there lots of terrible games around, example being games like alpha protocol and countless others which ppl pay full price for when released. OK The Xbox live Ban was only banning the system from playing on live. You can still use a banned modded xbox all day long and play any new games you want just not on live. Good buy for someone who doesn't know about this stuff and wants to save some money.

i would say if a game has been out for 5 years or more and the console is no longer getting games made it, it should be ok to download a emulators and the rom of the game and play it. it publisher has already got the money out of it

people cant afford to spend so much money on games...in our country a single ps3 game costs 2500 RS and the console itself costs 12000 Rs..if i want to play my fav games on the ps3 like GOW 3,Uncharted 2,Killzone 2 etc.... whereas pc games cost like Rs 500..if im not wrong piracy cant be avoided if ps3 games are so steeply priced.like are you insane?? why shud i spend 2500 Rs on a ps3 game wen i can get it pirated for 50..who cares for the online feature if you cant even play the singleplayer??

The fact of the matter is some gamers are too lazy to get a job. Then they download a game for free which is stealing from those that worked hard to make the game.I do not have a problem with downloading older games that do not make these gaming companies money anymore. I even buy the old games since having a real system and real game is better. Emulation of games is alright for rare or expensive old games. I have not heard of a modded PS3 yet.

this guy has his definitions wrong. a brick is a broken console. be it soft or hard bricked. a banned system isn't bricked. as far as piracy is concerned, i don't care what people do. if the makers don't like it, fix to where it can't be done (i don't know how they would though). they are abusing the prices, of course people will do it. sony had it coming. every other console has been hacked/modded, why are they special? they're not. everyone else is doing it so why not join them?

i have 2 360's, only 1 is flashed while the other isnt as i bought it to play online, i also have a ps3 as well. It is worth having a flashed console if u like single player games like myself as there lots of terrible games around, example being games like alpha protocol and countless others which ppl pay full price for when released. While games like red dead redemption, i liked so much i went out and bought it. While MW2 i did the same so i could play online with it.

OK The Xbox live Ban was only banning the system from playing on live. You can still use a banned modded xbox all day long and play any new games you want just not on live. Good buy for someone who doesn't know about this stuff and wants to save some money.

it's funny because this is one of the many new features of nextgen consoles, you no longer have the choice to be "comfortably illegal", there are no more cheat codes, no way to copy and burn games like I know some use to with dreamcast, ps2 and xbox, all thats dead and gone. Next thing you know every system will be personal and we'll all be using robots like WTF!!!

I'm all for it. I personally Download Xbox 360 all day long. I consider my self a Game Tester. I mean why not? You get games 1 to 2 weeks earlier than the people paying for them. I personally bought MW2 and BFBC2 because I support that franchise. I don't support Micro$ofts franchise though. I unplug my Ethernet from my console when I play burnt games ALWAYS! The ones getting banned are the "kids" online who don't properly burn and stealth their games and play for days and days and days.

These games should be $30.00 tops. As for now it's not stealing if you don't get caught. Like with bfbc2 I bought a 15 dollar VIP then they make us pay for this Spectat bs which only pretties up your gun and camo that is still noticeable by other people. If that's not enough they come out with this new Onslaught shit where you compete with A.I's with the same fucking maps. over here at the baltic country's(western europe) new ps3 games cost around 90 to100$
+ our job montly payment is much smaller than yours in the states(the average payment per month is around 1100$)
so yeah no wonder a lot of people download games over here...
