They voluntarily work.If they don't like it they can work somewhere else or be self-employed (which the government often gets in the way of with property taxes and regulations that increase the barriers to entry by increasing the cost of starting your own business).

Acutally, you're horribly incorrect. More people simply increases demand...however it also increases the amount of people available to produce stuff. It doesn't have any effect on if those people are abused or not. Abuse is simply using violence against people.

In modern times, slavery exists only in the black market and also to the extent that the government requires people to do things or not do things (assuming these actions don't infringe on the rights of others).

I think that "slavery" will end when money is taken out of our "system" that we have now. As I see it a solution could be the Venus Project.

But the problem is that something big has to happen before mankind will skip the "system" we have today. So I am not very optimistic. I think that we people are to greedy to make the decitions that are best for EVERYONE. The ones that have the power to do anything about our sitution today, do not want to change how it is today...

It's not evolution of slavery but evolution in general. There will always be a small percentage of people with higher levels of intellect and cognition than the masses. They, as they well should, will always take advantage of the ignorant masses.
