uhm, would it be me or would one be able to carry more .50 cal paint then .68 cal paint. I think this is going to turn into a 7.62mmx51mm NATO vs. 5.56mmx45mm NATO arguement. I've seen .43 paint, but thats just one brand carrying that.

Fl00xX is right, i think, that .50 caliber will probably be great for places with more stringent rules like Germany. because that sounds like it royally sucks, having to be hit 5 times before the paint actually breaks.
this could possibly put Germany back into paintball. but for America, i will not buy any .50 caliber guns any time soon. i am going to stick to .68 caliber for a while. unless it DOES become a revolution, i'm buying a Tippmann A5 with a flatline barrel in .68 and i'm DONE.
I am really concerned about the future of the 68.cal in Germany. Here we have the velocitylimit for paintballguns set at 7,5joules - that's 214fps with normal .68 caliber. Now i hear many people out on the fields saying they gonna change to .50cal because of the higher fps you are able to play with the same velocity. Is it an advantage changing to .50cal just for the purpose of having higher fps?Is 214fps too low for .68? We used to play 260-280fps until one field got busted by the police. Help!
It sucks even more than you might think. The last time we actually played 214 fps we had much more bounces as usual. This is not only annoying for the shooter who has to fire more paint to the target but also for the person beeing shot! Just think of how it feels getting hit by 4-5 bounces until you finally get marked.
Mike, i agree, i think that the .50 cal stuff is bullshit because there are so many people that would be pissed off with changing their guns or buying a new gun or something, and there is nothing wrong with the .68 cals...there fine! @canthelpitimaguy there might be an increase in cheating, but to reduce the possibility of cheating, just shoot your opponents until they raise their hand. that's a good idea for .68 caliber.
I have no experience with the .50 cal markers, but in my mind it makes sense to make a smaller round, which would be more accurate than the .68 cal, and you could shoot it at higher velocities but with the same kinetic energy.

As far as I know, SP sued AGD over the e-mag. SP patented the idea of a microswitch activated paintball gun. AGD had to stop making E-mags because of it. Subsequently, AGD's market share went waaay down.
They need to make drop in kits no matter what. I can really see this taking off if the marker companies stand behind their already made guns. I see fields' offering 50cal and 68 cal. Mike you need to do another video!

Fl00xX is right, i think, that .50 caliber will probably be great for places with more stringent rules like Germany. because that sounds like it royally sucks, having to be hit 5 times before the paint actually breaks.
this could possibly put Germany back into paintball. but for America, i will not buy any .50 caliber guns any time soon. i am going to stick to .68 caliber for a while. unless it DOES become a revolution, i'm buying a Tippmann A5 with a flatline barrel in .68 and i'm DONE.

I am really concerned about the future of the 68.cal in Germany. Here we have the velocitylimit for paintballguns set at 7,5joules - that's 214fps with normal .68 caliber. Now i hear many people out on the fields saying they gonna change to .50cal because of the higher fps you are able to play with the same velocity. Is it an advantage changing to .50cal just for the purpose of having higher fps?Is 214fps too low for .68? We used to play 260-280fps until one field got busted by the police. Help!

It sucks even more than you might think. The last time we actually played 214 fps we had much more bounces as usual. This is not only annoying for the shooter who has to fire more paint to the target but also for the person beeing shot! Just think of how it feels getting hit by 4-5 bounces until you finally get marked.

Mike, i agree, i think that the .50 cal stuff is bullshit because there are so many people that would be pissed off with changing their guns or buying a new gun or something, and there is nothing wrong with the .68 cals...there fine! I also agree with those dumbasses over at painthappy and whatever that other guy is because #1 there advice sucks, #2 they dont cover a lot of different things and #3 they know dick all about paintball!!!

I have no experience with the .50 cal markers, but in my mind it makes sense to make a smaller round, which would be more accurate than the .68 cal, and you could shoot it at higher velocities but with the same kinetic energy.

As far as I know, SP sued AGD over the e-mag. SP patented the idea of a microswitch activated paintball gun. AGD had to stop making E-mags because of it. Subsequently, AGD's market share went waaay down.

wow those guys totaly over reacted over your news lol. so what, they want to change... well, i say, if you want to go smaller, do airsoft.. dont know why they call it airSOFT cuz it isnt soft lol. but hey whatever, milsim ftw, but i prefer paintball. nice vid mike! hope paintball stays .68 cal, but hey if it changes, it may be a bit better, as far as air efficiency and hopper size, and of course amount of ammo hoppers can hold. 50 call may make it easier to make milsim guns, but whatever.
