@TheNeonTide The trumpets are a key component on this and other works by Arthur, Otis and others. I love listening to them! Thanks for your comment, my friend!
@TheRickynow "Sweet Soul Music" has been played a gazillion times on the radio. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing it; but I never get tired of this sensational ballad. "Let's Go Steady" is a genuine killer bee and it's my favorite by far! Thanks so much for your comment, my friend!
I read that Otis wrote songs for and with Arthur Conley and produced two of his albums, Shake, Rattle & Roll and Soul Directions. Thanks for your comment!

yes otis was a producer ,as well as a performer, and singer .
I,ve had the opportunity of meeting his son,s Dexter, and Otis Redding the third, both are very talented in their own way.Very down to earth young men.

Think of all the contributions the multi-talented Otis could have made had fate not intervened. Sleep on, Otis. Thanks for your comment!

I notice the label says Otis Redding is the producer. I didn't know he was a producer as well as a singer!

Keith Richards sang a beautiful version of this with the NEW BARBARIANS 1979. He knew a good song when he saw one!
